1. To Apply Passport for Newborn (Baby), the applicant has to make the application online via link
2. If the applicant is a new user, the applicant has to click the “Register (New User)” button.
3. The applicant has to enter all the details for registration process with the captcha code and click the “Register” button.
4. The applicant has to get an appointment by clicking a “Click here” option.
5. Select the state and enter the captcha code and click the “Check Appointment Availability”
6. The applicant has to check the details for visiting.
7. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
8. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
9. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
10. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
11. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
12. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
13. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
14. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
15. Biometric data (photograph, thumbprint) of the baby may be collected at the center. Photos of the baby will also be taken.
16. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
17. Once the passport is ready, the applicant will receive a notification. Visit the PSK/POPSK to collect the passport. Both parents or authorized representatives can collect the passport on behalf of the baby.
18. This entire process can be completed within 15 - 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Apply online (Indians living abroad)

1. To Apply Passport for Newborn (Baby) for Indians living abroad, the applicant has to make the application online via link
2. The applicant has to select the respective country.
3. If the applicant is a new user, the applicant has to click the “Register”
4. The applicant has to enter all the details for registration process with the captcha code and click the “Register” button.
5. Now login with Login ID and password with the captcha code and click the “Login” button.
6. Enter all the required details in the application form.
7. Then the applicant has to download the form from by clicking “Print” button.
8. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
9. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
10. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
11. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
