Apply In-Person:

1. To Obtain Recreational Fishing Licence (Permit) in Ghana, the applicant has to approach the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development.

3. Applicant must obtain the application form from the MOFAD department.
4. Prepare the necessary background and the relevant information then fill up the appropriate application form as described by the MOFAD.
5.  The applicant has to make sure that he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
6. After filling the form proceed to pay the prescribed fee. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
7. Ensure that the application fee is submitted and all the required information is included with application.
8. This application will be processed and the information will be verified by the MOFAD.
9. If the verification is successful, the notification will be sent to the applicant.
10. The applicant after seeing the notification can collect the applicant recreational fishing License from where he /her application were submitted within 7 days from the date the application was received at Ministry of MOFAD in case there is no rejection.

• Applicant to be eligible should be engaging in recreation fishing activities in order to be issued with recreation fishing permit.

• Application Fees: GHS.10,000
• License Fee: 150,000 GHS

• A license issued under this Act is valid for one year and expire on 31 December every year.
