2. Applicant must provide all necessary information in the application form before submitting it.
3. Applicant should make sure to carry photocopies and originals of all documents needed for this procedure to complete.
4. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant should make sure to attach photocopies of necessary documents along with the application form while submitting it at the office.
6. Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
7. If all above-mentioned procedures were followed properly, applicant can get their license within 14 days.
8. Applicant can get their license by visiting the office after getting a notification from concerned authorities.
9. If there is no information provided by concerned authorities, applicant can visit the office to know status of their application.

• This conversion is necessary for a foreign private pilot to be able to fly aircrafts in Ethiopia.

• The validation process is used for short-term authorization only. So, it is better to convert the license for having a long-term authorization.
• Pilots cannot fly without paying compensation or hire.

• This license can be used for applying for a commercial pilot license.
