Apply In-Person:

1. To Convert Foreign Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) in person, the applicant has to contact the nearest Civil Aviation Authority Office in Egypt Location link.
2. Information related to the civil aviation office and License authority can be obtained from the “Office locations and contacts” section of this page.
3. Applicant must obtain the application form from the relevant department.
4. Applicant should read carefully in the application form, after all details must be filled in the application form.
5. The   applicant shall submit an application together with one passport size photograph and pay the prescribed fee and shall complete an application form.
6. The applicant has to make sure he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section or this page.
7. When all the conditions have been met, and have been satisfactorily certified by the Authority’s Licensing Office, the applicant will be advised to pay the prescribed fees found under the "Fees" section of this page.
8. After paying the prescribed fees, the applicant is issued an Airline Transport Pilot Licence within 7 days.

• Documents relating to proof of age, date of birth, full name and nationality. (Copies of these documents must be legible and will be certified by licensing staff as true copies of the original. Where a document is printed in a language other than English, the applicant must provide a notarized translation).
• Two recent photographs (approximately 2 cm by 2.5cm) taken from the same negative (full face).
• Medical Certificate from authorized Civil Aviation Medical examiner.
• All personal flying Log Book(s) and/or ATO records, its entries certified by the relevant. Authorities e.g. Chief Flight Instructor, Director of Operations, Chief Pilot, etc.
• Evidence of qualification to meet the requirement for the issue/renewal of the license.
• Payment receipt of the prescribed fees.

Applicant must:

• The minimum age for one to be issued with an Air Transport Pilot License is 21.
• One must demonstrate the ability to read, speak, write and understand the English language.
• Be in possession of a valid Class 1 Medical certificate
• Be in possession of a valid Commercial Pilot’s License
• Achieve minimum flight time as stipulated in the civil aviation regulations.
• Pass all stipulated theory examinations.

• A fee for this procedure is has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
