Apply In-Person:

1. To apply, the applicant has to make a request at the collector of Daman’s office to grant you permission to mortgage land.
2. You can find the necessary information here: Official website
3. Along with the application the following documents need to be submitted:
   • Form No. I & XIV of the land in question in original plus 1 xerox copy.
   • Attested copy of Nil encumbrance certificate on property.
   • Copy of letter from the Bank / Financial Institution etc
4. Once the office receives your request, they will process your application.
5. A committee will go through your application to make sure that all the records are clean.
6. Once approved, you will have to go to the court of the collector for a hearing, and present your case.
7. If it gets approved, the superintendent of the land sections collectorate will notify you.
