Apply In-Person

1. You should contact the Botswana Defense Force for more information on how to file the application with them.
2. You should then send in a written request to the address below outlining the location, date and time that you would like to hire for the service.

3. Your request will be verified and processed and if the service band is available and your request has been approved by the commander you will be notified within 2 weeks in writing.
4. You will then be required to pay all the required fees before the services is rendered by the department.
   

Note

1. The band has two different groups, the Military Band and the Dance Band which are both available for hire.

• Government Departments, Corporate Entities, Non-Governmental Organisations and Charitable Organisations are able to request the services of the BDF Band.
• Please note: the department does not hire out the BDF Band to individuals.

• Band Services cost an initial flat rate of BWP750.00 for the first hour of performance and BWP 500.00 for each hour thereafter.

• The charge is applicable to all areas however, engagements outside Gaborone and its periphery will attract extra logistical charges.

The services of the Band are offered on availability, however, the Commander may at his discretion approve or disapprove a request depending on other considerations

The Botswana Defence Force (BDF) Band provides music at charity events, government and activities related to the Defence Force. The band is available for hire at functions for all organizations
