Assam - Apply for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET)


Procedure

  • The “Assam TET” is conducted by the Department of Elementary Education to determine the eligibility of candidates as teachers in government or private schools.
  • There will be an official notification release by the respective board for Assam TET. On the issue of notification, the deserving candidates shall apply to register for the Assam TET.


Apply Online

  1. The candidate shall use the following link to reach the respective portal to apply online Link
  2. In the given home page, please scroll down and locate the “Latest” section and click on the “Recruitment of Regular Teacher…” option to reach a new page.
  3. Here, please click on the “Apply Online for the post of Regular Teachers…” option to get a popup message. Please click on the “OK” button to reach a new home page.
  4. Here, please click on the “APPLY ONLINE” button to get a new page. Here, please click on the “PROCEED TO APPLY” button to reach online application form page.
  5. Make sure that the “ADVERTISEMENT A FOR LOWER PRIMARY AND UPPER PRIMARY” option checkbox is selected. Please select the category from the dropdown list as applicable and complete the other page prompts as appropriate.
  6. Make sure to provide a valid mobile number and an email id at the prompted space as appropriate and click on the “Submit” button to get a new page. Here, the message “You have completed initial step of registration, please login…” will be provided.
  7. At the same time, User Id and password will be sent to the email Id. In the same page, under “Login” section, the applicant shall enter the login credentials as appropriate at the prompted space and then click on the “Login” button to reach the “APPLICATION FORM” page.
  8. Please complete the page prompts as appropriate. Once the mandatory details are filled in, please click on the checkbox for the declarations and then click on the “Submit” button to reach a new page to upload the documents.
  9. Please use the “Choose File” button provided under each document section to select the file to be uploaded. Please click on the “Submit” button at the bottom to reach a new page. Please click on the checkbox for the declaration and click on the “Submit’ button to get a page with a message “You have completed ONLINE APPLICATION Successfully”. Here, please click on the “Print Application Form” button to print the application form for future reference.
  10. This application will be processed by the respective department. Once the department approves the application, the applicant will get intimation and the admit card will be provided as per applicable norms.

Eligibility

  • The candidate should be the citizen of India.
  • The age limit for the candidates is 18 Years to 40 Years.
  • For those who belong to SC, ST, and OBC, age relaxation in the upper age limit is 5 Years.
  • Candidates should be class 12 passed or a graduate from a recognized university with a minimum of 45 per cent marks.
  • Candidates should have obtained a Diploma in Education or Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) or completed any other prescribed teacher training programme/course.




Fees

  • The TET application fee is prescribed by the respective exam bodies.




Validity

  • The approved application is valid for the period (year) for which the examination is notified.

  • The applicants are advised to select the examination centre correctly while applying online.
  • Please keep the scanned documents ready for applying online.
  • Do not submit invalid certificates.
  • Make sure to mention the correct school/college/Institution name while filing online application.
  • Incomplete application will be rejected.
  • Do not submit fake documents as a proof.
  • Avoid spelling mistakes while filling the application form.
