1. Applicant who want apply for Trade Certificate Renewal has to approach RTO office in their area.
2. Please follow our “Office Locations & Contacts” section of this page to get details of the RTO offices
3. Application Form-16 should be obtained from the concerned office or can be downloaded from following Link:Form 16
4. Please make sure you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Fill the application with required information
6. Pay the appropriate fees as per authority’s guidance.
7. Submit the completed application form to the authority where officials would start their process.
8. Upon the satisfaction of the application and document verification, authority will provide you the Renewal Tradecertificate.
9. Trade certificate consists of registration mark referred to in notification and followed by two letters and a number containing not more than three digits for each vehicle, for example

1. AB - Represent State Code.
2. 12 - Registration District Code.
3. TC1 - Trade certificate number for the vehicle.

Note: No applicant for trade certificate shall be refused by the registering authority unless the applicant is given an opportunity of being heard and reasons for such refusal are given in writing.
