Driver's License Fees:
A provisional driver’s license expires after the licensee has completed 2 years’ experience as a provisional driver, excluding any time during which the license was suspended. At the time of expiration, the provisional licensee shall be eligible for a private driver’s license.

There are only 2 types of drivers licenses issued in American Samoa: a provisional drivers license and a private drivers license.
A learners permit is considered a drivers license for purpose of authorizing a person to operate a motor vehicle in American Samoa.
A list which displays the kind of information which is required to complete the procedure. e.g. 1. Date of Birth. 2. City or County of Birth.
A driving license is an official document which states that a person may operate a motorized vehicle, such as a motorcycle, car, truck or a bus, on a public roadway.
You may not operate any motor vehicle in American Samoa without a valid drivers license issued by the Commissioner of Public Safety in American Samoa.
Your Driver's License
The issued driver's license indicates the type or general class of vehicles the licensee may drive, which license shall bear thereon a distinguishing number assigned to the licensee, the full name, date of birth, residence address and a brief description and a photograph of the licensee, and either a facsimile of the signature of the licensee or a space upon which the licensee shall write his usual signature with pen and ink immediately upon receipt of the license, and such other information as is determined necessary by the Commissioner.
You must have a drivers license or learners permit in your immediate possession at all times whenever you are operating a motor vehicle and shall display the same upon demand of a police officer.
Note: Commissioner means the Commissioner of Public Safety in American Samoa.
