1. To obtain a replacement ID card, applicants will need to submit their application in person to the Municipality/Administrative Unit or Commune where they are registered. A link is provided under 'Office Locations & Contacts' which you can use to locate an ID card processing office.
2. Applicants will need to complete an application form and submit it together with the original Police Report for lost/stolen ID card with correct data of citizen/document.
3. Applicants will also be asked to present their identification document.
4. It will take about 15 calendar days for an ID card to be produced (National Holidays during working day excluded). It can take longer if information provided need extra clearance.

• Completed application
• Original Police Report for lost/stolen ID card with correct data of citizen/document.
• Identification Document (Birth Certificate; Citizenship Certificate; etc).

ALEAT Offices

• Albanian citizens who have reached the aged of 16

• Voucher for Electronic ID Card with value of 1 500 ALL.

An electronic ID is valid for 10 years.
