West Bengal - Register with State Employment Exchange

Applicant need to visit nearest district employment exchange.

Obtain the application form from the respective counter
With required documents submit filled in application form.
The authorities will process the application online and provide you with unique password and temporary registration number.
These two details are important to know the current status of the application
After one week applicant gets a message in the registered mobile number that his employment registration is approved and can get the employment card.
Post registration, an employment ID card will be provided to the applicant.

Apply Online:

To register with employment exchange through online, applicant has to visit the following website link
Now click on “Employer” or “Institution” or “Job seeker” menu at the left bottom of the page.
Then click on “New Enrolment” option.
Read the terms and conditions carefully and click the checkbox. Then click on “ACCEPT & CONTINUE” button.
Now enter all the required details and click on “SUBMIT” button.
After successful registration process, please follow the screen instructions to proceed further.

Apply through Centres:

To apply through centres, the applicant has to approach the respective “CSC” centre in their area. Refer the following link for location: CSC Locator link
- NOTE: The applicant has to select the state, district and block name from the drop-down menu, or the applicant has to click on their respective district to find nearby centres.
Please visit the centre and consult with the centre operator for your requirement.
If the operator issues an application form, then collect it and pay the requisite fee. Please complete the application form.
Now, submit the completed application along with the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
The operator will process the application online. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
Applicant has to make necessary payment as centre operator quotes and don’t forget to take the receipt.
This application will be forwarded to the respective department for further processing.
”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
The submitted application will be processed by the department. A designated authority will verify the submitted documents and inspect the area of the applicant to clarify the applicant’s details.
Based on the outcome of the above-mentioned steps and other internal processing, the designated issuing authority will issue the certificate.
The status, viz. Approval or Rejection will be conveyed to the applicant through an “SMS” or applicable norms.

EligibilityEdit

Any person to be eligible for registration in an Employment Exchange has to be not less than 14 years of age at the time of registration and not more than 45 years of age as on the 1st July of the year of registration.
All educated aspirants 8th, 10th, 12th, Graduate, Under graduate, International Graduate can register in Employment Exchange.
Discontinued students are not eligible for employment(but previous qualification eligible to register in employment exchange)

ValidityEdit

If you register your education qualification with the employment exchange it is valid for three years. Once in every three years you need to renew Employment registration

Need for the DocumentEdit

Any citizen of India is eligible for Registration at an Employment Exchange for assistance in securing Employment/job. There is no necessity to verify the employment /under employment / unemployment status of the applicant.
The Departments of Employment in various States of India allow unemployed educated youth residing in the respective States to pre-register for impending job vacancies occurring in different sectors of that State.
Candidates who possess educational qualifications other than those of professional and executive standards can register their educational qualifications with the respective Employment Exchanges in their districts
