Venezuela - Apply for Identity (C'dula de Identidad) Document by Birth for Parent Outside Country

Procedure

You are children of a Venezuelan father or mother. You were born abroad. You are nine years old and up. You and your parent can apply for your Identity (C’dula de Identidad) document by birth when following:

1. Prepare the requirements:
• Your certified copy of the Birth Certificate issued by a Venezuelan Consulate or issued directly by the Civil Registry, which must mention the declaration of acceptance of Venezuelan nationality.
• Copy of the Birth Certificate of the parent who transmit the Venezuelan nationality (if your Birth certificate issued by a consulate and inserted in the Civil Registry)
• The Manifestation of will issued by your Municipal Offices of Civil Registry or Sworn Statement Form issued by the SAIME.
• The Declaration of Will to avail of the Venezuelan nationality performed before the Venezuelan Civil Registry or diplomatic, consular authority in the country of birth. You must perform it with your parent, if you are under 14 years old.
• Copy of the Death Certificate if one of your parents is dead. The Death Certificate must be legalized by the Venezuelan diplomatic representation and present a direct family witness with their copy of Identity document.
• Your passport or other suitable legal official documents (if applicable). You can replace it by a statement of reasons indicates your incoming.
• The original legal Birth Certificate of the first one directly born in Venezuela from your family pedigree.
• Your photographs
2. Visit a suitable SAIME offices

You must go with your parent, if you are under 14 years old. And you must apply with a family witness (as uncle, aunt, grandfather, grandmother), if one of your parent is dead. Present the required documents. Follow all of officer’s guiding to establish residence in Venezuela or declare your Will to be eligible for Venezuelan Nationality and apply for your Identity (C’dula de Identidad) document.
