Vellore - Reconnection of Water Supply

This procedure explains various ways to Reconnection of Water Supply in Vellore.

Apply In-Person:

  1. The request for water reconnection can be made in the prescribed application form to the “Section officer” of your local water supply office.
  2. Go to your water supply office in your area.
  3. Link for contact details : link for district Select district option from the left part of the screen. In the given page please select the name of the district to reach respective district page. Here select the hyperlink for respective portal. In the district portal please select “DIRECTORY>PUBLIC UTILITIES>Municipalities “ or “DIRECTORY >Contact Directory” or “ABOUT DISTRICT>ADMINISTRATIVE SETUP> Revenue Administration” option for contact details.
  4. Collect the application form or write on a plain A4 sheet as advised.
  5. Complete the application form. Attach the entire required documents as per our “required documents” section and present it to the designated authority.
  6. This application and attached documents will be checked. If all are in place, applicant will be advised to pay reconnection fees.
  7. Please pay the advised fees at the respective counter and obtain the receipt.
  8. Now submit your application for reconnection along with the remittance of application fee, reconnection fee and all dues paid details if any to the designated authority in two sets. (second set will be returned with signature of the receiving authority)
  9. Once the application is received, authorities will register the request into the register.
  10. Applicant will get acknowledgment for the submitted application. Please keep it safe for future reference.
  11. This application will be processed internally. Department staff will reconnect the service as notified.

  • Residence Proof (telephone bill/electricity bill)
  • Copy of receipt of paid water bill.
  • Updated Tax Payment Reciept
  • NOC from property Tax department (If required)
  • Aadhaar card.
  • Last payment paid receipt.

Note: Apart from the above documents authorities may ask to submit additional information or documents. Please provide them for processing.

  • A valid consumer whose water connection is disconnected.
  • All the payments are paid up to date.


  • Fees/charges should be paid as applicable and as advised by the authorities.
  • If reconnection is sought after disconnection of water supply connection, department levied fine has to be paid by the consumer in addition to the deposition of security deposit as deposited at the time of commencement of the water connection.


The reconnection availed will be valid as long as the required tax or charges as per the department are paid.

Need for the Document[edit]

  • Reconnection for water supply arises based on the request by the party or on clearing of pending dues or reconnection by Department in case of disconnection due to any reason.

Information which might help[edit]

  • In case of non-payment of bill, consecutively for 2 (two) months or as specified by the department water supply connection will be disconnected.
  • Beware – Law is strict against those who dodge to follow the amendments.
