Apply In-Person

  1. To Pay Property Tax, the applicant has to approach the Uttar Pradesh Board for Development of Municipal Financial Resource link
  2. Please refer to our office and address session for details
  3. The applicant has to obtain a respective application form for making property tax from the respective office.
  4. Submit the completed application form with details mentioned in the required document session.
  5. As authorities verify the application, the applicant will be advised to make the payment. Make payment as acceptable (Cash or DD or challan)
  6. After remitting the fee to the fee counter, the applicant receives a receipt from the officials. This receipt can be used as proof of paying property tax.
  7. The processing time for this procedure is completed within a day.



Apply Online

  1. To Pay Property Tax, the applicant has to make the application online via – link
  2. The applicant has to click the “Proceed to citizen login”.
  3. If the applicant is a new user, the applicant has to click the “Register” button.
  4. Enter all the details and click the “Submit” button.
  5. The applicant has to enter the mobile number and password and then click the “Login” button.
  6. Now enter the ward no with the property ID or application no or owner name and click the “Search” button.
  7. To pay online Click on the “Proceed for payment” button to Pay the Property Tax. A popup with “pay now” or “pay later” will be displayed.
  8. Payment can be made using Credit / Debit/card as well as Internet banking. Once all the parameters are filled up, hit the “Make Payment” button to complete the online procedure.
  9. After making payment online, the receipt will be generated for further reference, and that can be taken printout. The same would be received in the applicant’s e-mail/mobile.
  10. The processing time for this procedure is completed within a few minutes.



Apply through Paytm

  1. To Pay Property Tax, the applicant has to download the app from the following link – link
  2. The applicant has to click the “Municipality payment”.
  3. The applicant has to select the respective corporation from the list.
  4. The applicant has to enter the property ID and other minor details and then click the “Get Tax Amount” button.
  5. Now the amount will be displayed on the screen and click the “Proceed to pay” button.
  6. The applicant has to select the payment method.
  7. Enter the payment details and click the “Pay” button.
  8. The applicant can check the payment summary after the payment gets successful.
  9. The processing time for this procedure is completed within a few minutes.



Apply through CSC

  1. To Pay Property Tax, the applicant has to approach the nearest CSC centre – link
    • NOTE: The applicant has to select a state, district and block name from the drop-down menu, or the applicant has to click on their respective district to find nearby centers.
  2. The applicant has to visit the centre and submit the tax pay invoice to an operator.
  3. The officer will check the details on the computer.
  4. Followed by the applicant can pay the amount to the officer by cash or online transaction.
  5. Once the payment process for the property tax is completed, the applicant will get a successful payment receipt from the officer.
  6. The processing time for this procedure is completed within a day.

FeesEdit

  • The property tax amount is calculated based on the residential area. So, it varies from one property type to other.
  • Property tax for a building is calculated based on
    • Basement area
    • The rate prevalent in the street where the property is located
    • Usage of the building (residential or non-residential access)
    • Type of occupancy (owner or tenant)
    • The total span of the building’s existence.

ValidityEdit

The property tax paid is valid for one year. Every year, you should renew it. (In certain place the tax will be collected for six months too)

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • Land owners / Property owners are subjected to pay certain amount to the concerned local government or to the municipal corporation of the concerned area are called as property tax.
  • Property tax or 'house tax' is a local tax imposed on owners of an apartment, land and building by the Government. The governing authority of the jurisdiction levies the tax to the owner in which the property is located.
  • Property tax clearance is required for most of other service like Water, Sanitary, Electricity connection etc.
  • Owners of residential properties are liable to pay property tax to respective department on a specified period of time and has to be paid regularly (period can be 6 months or one year in respect to the state).
  • Tax Exemption is applicable for selected citizens / organizations (Educational Institutions, Charitable institutions, Ex-serviceman / In-service man, retired pensioners association, NGO Homes/Teachers Association Buildings) as applicable.

  • All residential and commercial (non-residential) properties are assessed for tax.
  • The information about all the new constructions, existing construction and improvements to the property must be provided to the respective Department of the state to make necessary changes to tax assessment.
Note: There will be strict action against the defaulters. It is advisable to pay the tax on time to avoid such situations.
