Apply In-Person:

  1. In Uttar Pradesh, it is essential to get a property valuation certificate to be able to apply for a loan from a bank.
  2. The applicant will have to go to the nearest Tehsildar’s office/Jan Seva Kendra to apply for the certificate.
  3. The applicant will be given an application form which needs to be filled with details about your land and submit it to the office.
  4. Attach relevant documents as mentioned in the “Required documents” section of the page.
  5. A non-judicial stamp of Rs 2 has to be affixed with the application form.
  6. Ensure all the details about your land are correct such as the survey number and so on.
  7. The applicant will have to pay an application fee; this will depend on how long you want your encumbrance certificate to be valid.
  8. Once done, the concerned authority will receive the application form and approve it.
  9. The applicant will get an SMS on your registered number about the status of their application.
  10. Once approved, the applicant can collect it from the office.


Apply Online

  1. Go to the official website, the e-district portal of Uttar Pradesh.
  2. Here is the link to the portal: Portal
  3. Click on “Citizen Login” at the top of the page.
  4. At the top click on “New user registration”, if the applicant does not have an account.
    • Enter your details such as your name, mobile number, email ID.
    • Enter the captcha.
    • Click on “Save”.
    • An OTP will be sent to the applicant’s mobile number which can be used to enter the password for the first time log in.
  5. Once you log in, select the option that says “Hasiyat certificate”.
  6. There will be a set of instructions, read them and then click on “Continue”.
  7. The applicant will have to enter details about your property.
  8. Once the applicant does this, they can submit the application form online.
  9. The applicant will receive an application number that they can use to track the application.
  10. The applicant can track the application by going to the “Track application” section of the page.
  11. Once approved, the applicant can download the certificate soft copy.
