Apply through Local Electricity Office (customer care center)

Applicant should go to the Local Electricity office in person to apply.

Application Form can be collected from concerned Electricity office (Please pay for form as required)
Application Form may be downloaded from following links: Link1 and link2.
Submit the completed form along with documents to section engineer/assistant engineer.
All the documents will be verified by the concerned authority. A receipt cum Quotation for Earnest Money will be issued.
Pay the amount at the respective counter within 15 days of issuance of quotation
After the payment is made, authorized representative of respective discom will inspect premises to ascertain the details as per application.
If there is any deviation found, authorities will suggest action to follow.
If all are satisfactory, authorities will issue a Quotation for Service Connection and Security Deposit.
Authorities will also inspect the common space for proper illumination and proper ventilation which should be free from any hindrances for installing the required meter(s).
Applicant has to pay the advised service Connection Charge & Security Deposit at the respective office counters.
After the payment is made, connection will be provided as per schedule.

Please use the following link to reach the online portal for applying to get electricity connection in Uttar Pradesh. portal link
In the given page, please select the discom applicable for your area from the drop down menu and hit “Submit” to get division prompt, SDO office Name, Consumer type and Load. Please choose appropriately and hit “submit” to get online form.
Applicant should fill/select prompted details in the given form and hit “Submit” to get next page.
Here user shall enclose NOC, owner consent letter, work completion certificate and ID proof by hitting “Upload file” tab
Applicant after uploading will reach the next page. Here details of applicant and processing fee will be displayed. If details are ok, hit “Confirm” to go get next page and hit “Pay now” to go to payment gateway page.
In the payment gateway page select or fill required details and complete the successive pages to make online payment by hitting respective tabs.
Applicant will receive a email and form. Please take printout of the form and go to the respective electricity office for your area and submit to the section engineer/Assistant engineer to process further.

Required DocumentsEdit

Photo ID proof of applicant (driving license/voter ID/Pan card/passport/ration card)
Proof of ownership Or occupation of a premises through any one of the documents (Rent Bill / Telephone Bill / Municipal or any other Tax Bill / sale deed/agreement/Certificate from Panchayat)
For LV & MV consumers, a sketch of new line required for service connection showing the premises from existing LV & MV line is required to be submitted by the intending consumer.

Clearances for establishment from the Pollution Control Board concerned where applicable .( residential / residential-cum-commercial premises of more than 100 flats)
Self- certification for electrical installation of the premises of the consumer for which new connection is being applied for or the test results duly signed by the licensed Electrical Contractor

The owner of the proposed property for which the supply is required
If the applicant is not the owner of the premises for which supply is required, then he or she should produce a consent letter from the owner of the premise
If the owner is not available or not intended to give consent letter, then the applicant should provide…
- proof of his/her being in lawful occupation of the premises
- execute an indemnity bond in Form 6
- acceptance to pay security deposit twice the normal rate.
