Apply In-Person:
Through Insurance Agent
- The applicant can check the validity of their motor vehicle insurance certificate by visiting any motor vehicle insurance agent.
- Upon visiting the insurance agent, the applicant should present the motor insurance sticker Reference Number for verification purpose.
- The insurance agent will verify the authenticity of the insurance sticker using the sticker Reference Number.
- If the certificate is authentic the insurance agent can print a motor vehicle insurance certificate sticker upon request.
Through Centenary Bank Agent
- The applicant can check the motor vehicle insurance certificate by visiting any Centenary Bank Agent across Uganda.
- The contact details for Centenary Bank can also be found in the ’Office Locations & Contacts‘ of this page.
- Centenary Bank Agents can also be located through the following Link.
- Upon visiting the Centenary Bank Agents, the applicant should present the motor insurance sticker Reference Number for verification purpose.
- The Centenary Bank Agents will verify the authenticity of the insurance sticker using the sticker Reference Number.
- If the certificate is authentic the Centenary Bank Agents can print a motor vehicle insurance certificate sticker upon request.
- There may be cases where a Centenary Bank agent is also an Insurance agent in which case the transaction is completed at the same point.

- The law requires all motor vehicles to be insured in Uganda, and the insurance is supposed to cover against financial loss, theft, damages, and third-party liabilities.
- Every motor vehicle operated on Uganda roads must be insured.
- It's important to ensure that your motor insurance certificate is valid.

- It is important to understand that by taking a motor insurance, you are transferring the risk from yourself to the motor insurance company.
- There are three distinct types of motor insurance cover that you should Know:
- Third party covers third-party body injury and property damage that might occur in an accident.
- The Comprehensive cover covers third party and second party but does not cover first party and family. Owner and family members are required to take personal accident cover
- Third-party fire & theft cover covers theft in addition to covering third-party liability
- You also need to understand the different classes of motor insurance and this include commercial, PSV, and Private.
