This procedure explains various ways to Apply for Financial Assistance for Women, Orphan Children and Poor through Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana (Shravan Bal Yojana) in Thane.

The Social Justice and Special Assistance Department, the Government of Thane provides online facility to user to apply for Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana /Shravan Bal Yojana. User can read the instructions and fill the form. Online service is provided by the government to save time of the user. The portal is available in two languages, English and Marathi; user can select any of the preferred language. However, the application form can be printed and applied in person along with the necessary documents to Tahsildar.

Apply Online through aaplesarkar :
  1. The applicant needs to register on the website Create User Id
  2. The applicant can login using the credentials and fill the form as instructed.
  3. The applicant can fill the online application form for “Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana /Shravan Bal Yojana” in the citizen login section: Online Application
  4. Submit the application.
  5. After submitting the application, user will get a reference slip or number which should be kept for future reference.
  6. Status of the application can be tracked by the user in “Track your Application” section. For tracking the application, application id or reference number will be required.

Apply in Person:

  1. Applications can also be made in-person through the Social Justice and Special Assistance Department (Government of Maharashtra) offices and sub-offices or through Collector Office/Tahsildar/Talathi.

  3. Please make sure you have all the documents (if any) that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  4. Fill the application form with the required information
  5. Submit the form in person to Social Justice and Special Assistance Department or Collector Office / Tahsildar / Talathi.
  6. After the authorities validate your application and the documents that are submitted they will process the application for Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana Shravan Bal

  • Eligibility for Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar yojana:
  • This scheme is applicable to destitute persons of age below 65 years, orphan children, all types of handicapped, person suffering from critical illness like T. B. cancer, AIDS and leprosy, destitute windows including those of farmers who committed suicide,transgenders, blind person, physically disable person, destitute divorced women and women in process of divorce, women freed from prostitution and outraged women. The person should be permanent resident of Maharashtra.
  • Eligibility for shravan bal yojana:
  • Category - (A) Under this Scheme every destitute person of age 65 years & above &whose annual family income is below Rs. 21000/- & whose name is not included in the BPL List get Rs.600/- per month from the state Govt.
  • Category - (B)Also under this scheme, every destitute person of age 65 years and above and belonging to BPL  family is eligible to get pension of Rs. 400/- per month from the state Govt. and the same beneficiary also receives pension of Rs.200/- per month from the Central Govt., under Indira Gandhi National Old Age pension Scheme.
