Apply In person:

  1. To obtain the FMB (Field Measurement Book) sketch copy of your land, visit the Taluk office of your respective area. The contact details of the office can be found in “Office Location and contact details” section of this page or you can visit the following link2 please select the name of the district provided on the right part of the page to reach respective district portal and select menu “DIRECTORY > Contact Directory “ for contact details.
  2. Visit the Office and get the request form to obtain the FMB sketch copy of your land by providing the Survey number in the relevant department.
  3. Please fill the form with essential information and details and it should be attested with the applicant’s signature.
  4. Make sure that you have all the documents that are listed in “Required Documents” section of this page. Attach all the important documents mentioned.
  5. Then, it should be submitted to the relevant authority. Also pay the required fees for the process at the office as directed by the officials. Make sure you get the receipt for the fee paid and keep it safe for future reference.
  6. Your application and attached documents will be sent for verification to check, if there is any discrepancy.
  7. After all the processes are completed, you will receive your FMB sketch copy for your land with unique reference number. Office will inform you to collect the copy through any applicable means.


Apply online:

  1. To obtain FMB sketch copy online, please visit the Online FMB Sketch application link.
  2. On the opened page, please select your respective district, taluk, Hobli, Map types and Village.
  3. Kindly check your Survey Number / Sub Division Numbers.
  4. Your FMB sketch copy will be available as a pdf or in an KMZ file. Please select the appropriate one and download it, you can also take a print of the FMB sketch copy of your land with unique reference number.

  • Any person who wishes to obtain a FMB sketch copy of their own land can apply.
