Apply In-Person:

  1. To Obtain Sugar Import License, the applicant should visit the Sugar Board of Tanzania contact link
  2. Applicant must obtain the application form from the office and fill it up with all the necessary information in it.
  3. Applicant should make sure to carry both photocopies and originals of all the documents that are needed for completing this procedure.
  4. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure are mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. Applicant must attach photocopies of all the documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form before submitting the application form.
  6. The Fee for this procedure must be paid as per the authority’s request.
  7. Once the fee is paid, the applicant will receive a receipt from the respective officer, the receipt must be kept safe for future use.
  8. Once the application process is done, the processing time for receiving the license will be provided by the concerned authorities at the office.
  9. The applicant will also receive a notification from the office via SMS or E-Mail regarding the availability of the license.
  10. The applicant can visit the office to get their license once they get the notification from the office.
  11. If there is no information regarding the license is provided to the applicant, then, they can visit the office to know the status of their application.


Apply Online:

  1. Application for obtaining Sugar Import License is available at the following online link
  2. If an applicant is a registered user, the applicant must provide their “Username” and “Password,” and then click the “Login” button.
  3. If an applicant is a new user, he/she must register first by clicking on the “Register Online” option.
  4. The applicant should provide all the information that is requested for getting registered.
  5. Once the registration is successful, the applicant can log in directly using their “Username” and “Password.”
  6. After successfully logging in, the applicant must click on the “Sugar Import License” option for getting the application form.
  7. Applicant should provide enter the required data in the online application form.
  8. On the next step, they must upload digital copies of all the documents that are requested onC the online page.
  9. Finally, click on the “Submit” button for submitting the application form.
  10. The Fee for this procedure can be paid online.
  11. If all these procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the license will be provided within a stipulated period.
  12. The applicant will get a notification regarding the availability of the license and they can either get it by post or by visiting the office.
  13. If there is no information regarding the license is provided, the applicant can visit the office to know the status of the application.
