Tamil Nadu - Online Obtain Contract Labour Licence for Contractor

- Step 2 : To Obtain Contract Labour Licence for Contractor online, the applicant has to visit the following link: Apply Online
- Step 3 : In the home page, select “Online Services” tab which is highlighted in “GREEN” in the image given below from the menu.

- Step 4 : From the given list of options below, click “Login” tab which is highlighted in “GREEN” in the image given below to reach login page.

- Step 5 : If already a user, please enter the Username(Registered Email Address), Password as appropriate and click “Login” button which is highlighted in “RED” in the image below to login.

- Step 6 : If not a user, select “New User?” hyperlink which is highlighted in “GREEN” in the image given below.

- Step 7 : Registration form will appear on your screen. Please fill the details as prompted in the sections. At first, enter Personal details as shown in the image given below.

- Step 8 : In the next section enter the Address for Communication, provide the address which is mostly used. And then, enter the contact details as shown in the image given below.

- Step 9 : After entering the mobile number, click “Verify Mobile no.” tab which is highlighted in “RED” in the image given below.

- Step 10 : Now, an interface will appear for you to provide Mobile OTP, enter the OTP number sent to the given number and select “Verify” which is pointed with “YELLOW” arrow in the image given below. Follow the similar step for Email Address too.

- Step 11 : Once verified, it will display that its verified successfully. In Documents to be uploaded section, select “Upload file” button which is pointed with “YELLOW” arrow to upload the documents.Repeat the same to upload Aadhaar Card and then hit on “Register” button which is highlighted in “RED” in the image given below.

- Step 12 : Once registered successfully, the login page will appear for you to login. Provide your login credentials and hit on “Login” button which is highlighted in “RED” in the image given below.

- Step 13 : Once login, applicant will reach dashboard. From the list of services, applicant can select “The Contract Labour (Regulation And Abolition)Act, 1970” option which is highlighted in “YELLOW” in the image given below.

- Step 14 : From the list of options displayed below, choose “Licence (Contractor)” which is highlighted in “GREEN” in the image given below.

- Step 15 : A new page with APPLICABILITY OF SERVICE DETAILS will be displayed. To answer the given question click below “Is the User Contractor?” dropdown menu which is pointed with “GREEN” arrow and choose “Yes” option which is highlighted in “RED” to proceed further.

- Step 16 : Now, another prompt will appear on the screen, click below “Maximum Number of contract labours to be employed on any one day” dropdown menu which is pointed with “RED” arrow in the image given below and select appropriate option.

- Step 17 : Likewise, fill the rest of the prompts accordingly. Enter Registration Number and Registration date and hit “Search” button which is highlighted in “GREEN” in the image given below to identify the details.

- Step 18 : In the next section, enter the Establishment details as prompted. To upload PAN card, select “Upload file” button which is highlighted in “GREEN” and to select nature of business, click “Nature of Business” dropdown menu which is pointed with “RED” in the image given below.

- Step 19 : Next, provide details of ADDRESS OF ESTABLISHMENT (CONTRACTOR) and upload appropriate file as per prompt as shown in the image below.

- Step 20 : Now, the DETAILS OF THE EMPLOYER/PROPRIETOR (CONTRACTOR) will be followed, please provide details accordingly as shown in the image given below.

- Step 21 : To upload files in this section, click on “Upload file” tab which is highlighted in “RED” and repeat the same steps to upload the balance files.To add more details under a prompt, choose “Add More” button which is pointed with “GREEN” arrow in the image given below.

- Step 22 : Fill in the details of the contract labours in this section. To select nature of business, click below “Nature of Business” dropdown menu which is pointed with “GREEN” arrow in the image given below.

- Step 23 : In WORKSITE ADDRESS section, provide the correct address of the site as prompted as shown in the image given below.

- Step 24 : Enter the details of maximum number of employers employed so far as shown in the image given below.

- Step 25 : For DETAILS OF CONVICTION section, To choose the option click against the question “Whether the contractor was convicted of any offence within the preceding 5 years?” dropdown menu which is pointed with “RED” arrow in the image given below. Follow the same for next questions as well.

- Step 26 : Enter the details and upload appropriate files by clicking on the “Upload file” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image in Security Deposit and Documents sections as shown in the image below.

- Step 27 : Lastly, click in “I hereby declare that the details given above are correct to the best of my knowledge and Belief” checkbox which is pointed with “YELLOW” arrow and then hit on “Pay” button which is highlighted in “GREEN” in the image given below to proceed with the payment.

- Step 28 : An acknowledgement that the Application Submitted Successfully will appear on the screen. Click “Close” hypertext which is highlighted in “RED” in the image given below.

- Step 29 : Pay necessary fee using payment gateway or by selecting challan to pay over the respective counter as appropriate. You can select the option as per your choice as shown in the image below and finish the payment process.

- Step 30 : A system generated acknowledgement will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
- Step 31 : An SMS alert will be sent to the applicant regarding application submission.
- Step 32 : Application will be forwarded online to the concerned department.
- Step 33 : After scrutiny by the designated authority, short fall in the documentation if any will be intimated through SMS along with the date of inspection.
- Step 34 : Department authorities will verify the documents, Inspect the premises and clarify their queries.
- Step 35 : The Application along with report will be forwarded to the issuing authority concerned.
- Step 36 : If the applications is found to be correct, applicant will get notification about the sanction through SMS in their registered mobile number.
- Step 37 : This certificate shall be hand delivered or sent through post as per applicable norms.

- Make sure to keep the “First-Aid Facilities” in the premises during inspection.
- It is advised to submit additional set of copy of the documents and get counter signed for your safety while applying with government department.
