- To apply for a Temporary Permit in Tamil Nadu the applicant has to approach the RTO office to which your area belongs to. Following link can provide you information related to the list of RTO office : RTO Office List
- Make sure you have completed application form PTA & PSPLA. Application forms can be obtained from the following link : Application Form
- Also make sure you have all the necessary documents that has been listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant should make sure they are eligible for applying for the permit by reading through the eligibility criteria that has been listed out under the “Eligibility” section of this page.
- Application forms can also be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices that should be completed and presented with appropriate fees.
- Present the completed application forms in one of the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.
Apply Online:
- To Apply for Temporary Permit, the applicant has to use the following link :link
- Enter the registration number select the state and RTO office and then click the “PROCEED” button.
- Now the applicant needs to select the online service.
- Enter the related service details and click the “PROCEED” button.
- Enter the mobile number and click “Generate OTP”.
- The applicant has to enter the OTP from the given mobile number and click the “Login” button.
- Now, the applicant has to select the “Temporary Permit” from the following option.
- The applicant has to complete the application form by entering all the details in each section.
- Also, upload all necessary documents which are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- Once completed with all the details click the “Submit Details” button.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
- Once the process is completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
- The applicant has to visit the office to collect the permit.
- This entire process can be completed within 15- 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
Apply through CSC:
- To Apply for Temporary Permit, The applicant has to approach the respective CSC Centre: Link
- The applicant has to select state, district, and block name from the drop-down menu, or the applicant has to click on their respective district to find nearby centers.
- Please visit the center and consult with the center operator about your requirement.
- If the operator issues an application form, then collect it and pay the requisite fee. Please complete the application form.
- Now, submit the completed application along with the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page. It is advised to take the documents in their original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
- The operator will process the application online. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as an acknowledgment. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
- An applicant has to make the necessary payment as the center operator quotes and doesn’t forget to take the receipt.
- This application will be forwarded to the respective department for further processing.
- ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
- The submitted application will be processed by the department. A designated authority (supply officer) will verify the submitted documents and inspect the area of the applicant to clarify the applicant’s details.
- Based on the outcome of the above-mentioned steps and other internal processing, the designated issuing authority will decide on the issuance of the Deserted Woman Certificate.
- The status, viz. Approval or Rejection will be conveyed to the applicant through an “SMS” or applicable norms.
- If approved, the temporary permit will be hand delivered or sent through post to the address mentioned while applying or issued as per the applicable norms within 30 days or as per the timeline advised.
