Procedure

Apply Online

1. To Request for Grant of Patent, the applicant has to make the application in the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore e-service portal or tap the following link
2. The applicant has to click on the “Forms” and select form number PF -1/PF-8 -Request for Grant of Patent/Statement of Inventorship and of Right to Grant of Patent or tap the following link
3. The applicant needs to log in with their Singpass Id number and password.

   Note: If the applicants don’t not have an account, then they can register by clicking on register now, read the information marked 1 and 2 and agree to the terms and condition and click on register now, on the next page enter their personal information and submit.They will be issued with the Sing Pass ID number and password.

4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary information in the application form
5. The applicant has to submit the required documents that is mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. Review the application, click the declaration and submit the application form.
7. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee of $ 160 for the request for Grant of patent.
8. The authority will review the application and contact the applicant via email or SMS.
9. The processing time of the application takes up to 15-30 days.
