For Waste Carrier License, the applicant has to use the waste management form for registration.

Apply By Email

  1. To Apply for Waste Carrier License, the applicant must E-mail the completed application to Scottish Environment Protection Agency link
  2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer or the applicant has to download the application form from the following link –

  4. Waste Management Mobile plant licence- link
  5. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  6. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  7. The applicant must attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
  8. E-Mail the completed application to Scottish Environment Protection Agency by using the following E-Mail - [email protected]
  9. The applicant must pay the prescribed fee as requested. The fee details are mentioned in “Fees” section of this page.
  10. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  11. All applications are processed within a reasonable time, having regard to the circumstances of each application, including the completeness of information and documents submitted to the authority by the applicant.
  12. The authority may seek additional information from an applicant if this is necessary to assess the application. The authority does not need to deal further with an application until the applicant has provided this additional information.
  13. The authority may conduct the inspection if necessary. Once everything is accepted the authority will issue the license.
  14. This entire process can be completed within 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

EligibilityEdit

To be eligible to apply for a waste carrier license in Scotland, the applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • The applicant must be a business or organization that collects or transports waste.
  • The applicant must be registered with the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA).
  • The applicant must have a valid waste carrier registration number.
  • The applicant must have adequate insurance cover for waste collection and transportation.
  • The applicant must have a written waste management plan.
  • The applicant must comply with all relevant waste regulations.
