Procedure

1. Application for obtaining a water connection or license for a water connection can be obtained from the Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority (RURA).
2. Make sure you have the required documents that are listed under the Required Documents section of this page. Application form can be downloaded from the following link : Application Form
3. Application forms can also be obtained from the following address location where the completed application forms along with the documents have to be submitted.

Required Documents

• A letter of license application addressed to the Director General of the Regulatory Authority specifying the type of license that ie required.
• Certificate of Company Registration / Icyangombwa cyUbucuruzi cyerekana Ibikorwa niba ari Ikigo (company)
• A receipt of the application fees/Inyemeza-bwishyu yamafaranga yo kwiyandikisha
• Copy of certified Statute in case of a cooperative issued RCA / Kuri Koperative, icyangombwa cya koperative gitangwa na RCA.
• A Five (5) years Business Plan/Gahunda mbonera yubucuruzi yimyaka itanu (5)
• Environmental Impact Assessment Certificate (if applicable)/Icyemezo cyisuzuma ngaruka yumushinga wawe (niba umushinga wawe urutegekwa).
• Health and Safety Policy/Uburyo bwo kurengera ubuzima bwabakozi mu kazi bakora
• Copies of all relevant contracts, agreements, permits or Memorandum of understanding (if any) with stakeholders you work or intend to work with / Kopi zamasezerano waba yose waba warakoze nabo mukorana cyangwa abo mwifuza gukorana nabo niba ari ngombwa.
• Customer/Client Service Charter/ Uburyo bukoreshwa mu kwita kubafatabuguzi (if applicable)
• Annual Report (if applicable)/ Raporo yumwaka niba umaze umwaka ukora.
• Certified Audited Accounts (if applicable)/Inyandiko igaragaza raporo yabagenzuzi bimari.*Service Level Agreement (if applicable)/ Amasezerano ajyanye no kuzamura urugero rwa serivisi itangwa (niba utunganya ukanakwirakwiza amazi mu baturage)
• Water permit for ground water or surface water abstraction issued by RNRA (if applicable) / Uruhushya rwo gufata amazi rutangwa na RNRA .
• Tax clearance Certificate issued by the RRA /Icyangombwa cyo kutabamo umwenda w'imisoro.
• Clearance Certificate issued by the RSSB/Icyemezo cyo Kutabamo umwenda gitangwa na RSSB.
