Quebec - Apply Income Support for Workers

Apply In-Person:
- To apply Income Support for Workers in person, the applicant has to visit the nearest local services Québec office.
- The address and contact details of the local services office in various locations can be found using the following Service office locator
- Visit the office as per convenience and obtain an application form for Social Assistance from the respective department.
- The application form can also be downloaded from the following Application form
- Other forms to be completed with the application form, with respect to the requirement, can be found in the “Documents to Use” section of this page.
- Make sure that all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page, are available.
- Complete the application form and other forms as per the requirement with necessary details and information.
- Attest it with signature and attach the required documents with the application form. Then, submit it to the relevant authority at the respective Services Quebec office.
- After submission, the application and submitted information will be set for processing.
- While the application is being processed, a financial assistance officer may contact the applicant and ask to provide certain documents to clarify information.
- The application will be reviewed once they have provided all the documents that are essential to the processing of the application.
- If the applicant is eligible for benefits, it will be calculated from the day the responsible office receives the forms.
- The applicant will receive a notice of decision by mail within five business days of receiving all the documents essential to the assessment of the application.
- If the application is accepted, the notice will tell the applicant how much benefit they will receive. If their application is refused, the notice will tell them the reasons for the refusal.

- To apply income support for workers online, the applicant has to visit the following link Online application
- Visit the link and select the “Application for last-resort financial assistance” option. Then take a look at the General information in the first page and click “Next” button.
- Similarly, complete the next section of the application by answering the questions as applicable and click “Next” button.
- At any point of the application, the applicant can click the “Save” button to save at that point and continue later as per their convenience.
- Complete all the sections one by one by answering the questions and filling out the required details in respective fields.
- Once completed, an application revision will be done after which the applicant should click “Submit” button.
- After submission, the application and submitted information will be set for processing.
