Apply In-Person

  1. To get an permit to import radio and telecom terminal equipment, applicant has to visit the Communication Regulatory Authority (CRA) office.

  3. Applicant has to visit the Communication Regulatory Authority (CRA))and obtain the application form from the respective officer.
  4. Now complete the form with necessary information and make sure you have all the documents in hand that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. After filling the form, attach the documents mentioned in the required documents section below with the completed application form.
  6. Check the application form and then submit it to the respective officer in the Communication Regulatory Authority (CRA) office. The address is mentioned in the office locations & contacts section below.
  7. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
  8. After verification process, the applicant will be later requested to collect the permit to import radio and telecom terminal equipment on a specified date.



Apply Online

  1. Toget an permit to import radio and telecom terminal equipment through online, visit the following link: online portal
  2. If you have a Smartcard, please click on “Login with Smartcard” button to login using your smartcard.
  3. If you already have an Tawtheeq account, please enter your user name and password then click on “Continue” button.
  4. If you don’t have an Tawtheeq account, click on “create new account” option.
  5. In the next page, if you have valid Qatar ID card please choose “Qatari citizens and residents” option. If you don’t have valid Qatar ID card please choose “Visitors and business representatives” option.
  6. Now complete the field with required information then select the ‘I’m not a robot’ checkbox and click on the “Continue” button.
  7. In the next page, please enter the required personal information and then click on “Continue” button.
  8. In the next page, please enterthe new password and click on “Continue” button.
  9. You will be redirected to a screen in which contain message to finish registration of your account and tap on the “login” option to login which is available on the right side of the page.
  10. Now you will receive an email with a verification link. Verify your email using that link. After verify your email successfully, now the username and password will be activated for new users.
  11. After the successful account activation, visit the following link: online portal
  12. Now enter your username and password then click on “Continue” button.
  13. After successful login, please enter your Qatar id number in the “Customer Qatar ID” field. Then please select the option which is applicable to you and enter the required information. If any documents are required, then upload the required document based on your selection and click on “Next” button.
  14. Now complete the form with required information. Please select the activities as “RADIO TELECOM – IMPORT, SALE AND RENTING OF PASSIVE SNG EQUIPMENT - 7000000”from the dropdown menu then upload the required document and click on “Preview” button.
  15. In the next page, you will be redirected to a screen in which you can review your information.
  16. After reviewing your information, read the Terms and Conditions carefully then select the ‘I agree Terms and Conditions’ checkbox and click on “Submit” button.
  17. You will be redirected to a screen in which contain application number. You can use the application number to inquire about the application status.
  18. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
  19. After verification process, the authorities will provide approval.
  20. After the approval,pay the service fee after logging in into the payment gateway at Qatar E-government website.
  21. After successful payment, the applicant will be later requested to collect the permit to import radio and telecom terminal equipment on a specified date.

EligibilityEdit

  • Applicant who have Qatar ID card are eligible to apply.
  • New company who have company name reservation letter from the MOCI are eligible to apply.
  • New company who have articles of association authenticated by the Ministry of Justice are eligible to apply.
  • Existing company main branch and new branch who have commercial registration and commercial license are eligible to apply.

FeesEdit

An annual fee of QR1000 per activity applies.

The new permit is valid for the period of three years.

InstructionsEdit

  • Applicant shall submit their applications to the Communication Regulatory Authority (CRA) to issue an import authorization of radio and telecom terminal equipment. If, after evaluation, the equipment are found to meet the applicable local and international standards, the CRA grants the required certificate.
  • The submitted application will be lodged in the system and the customer may obtain an application number after an initial check to confirm completeness and correctness of the application.
  • Applicant will receive an SMS notifications with all updates to the service.

CRA Hours of Operation: 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM Sunday to Thursday.
