Apply In-Person

  1. To apply for FSSAI License or Permit for Event Management, please visit the FSSAI head office in your respective area. The address and contact details of the office can be found in the following link:
    • FSSAI office address link. Please scroll to your respective state to view the address and contact details.
  2. Visit the Office and get the application form to apply for FSSAI license from the relevant department, or you can download the application form from the following FSSAI Form B link.
  3. Please fill the application form with essential information and details and it should be attested with the applicant’s signature.
  4. Make sure that you have all the documents that are listed in “Required Documents” section of this page. Attach all the important documents mentioned.
  5. Then, it should be submitted to the relevant authority. Also pay the required fees for the application process at the office as directed by the officials. Please collect the acknowledgement slip for the paid fee. Keep it safe for future reference.
  6. Your application and attached documents will be sent for verification to check, if there is any discrepancy.
  7. After all the processes are completed, concerned officials will approve the application and proceed with the license issuance/ renewal process.
  8. Once the license is ready to be collected, the office will inform the applicant to collect it through any applicable means.


Apply Online

  1. To Apply for FSSAI License for Event Management through online method, you can use the FOSCOS website. Please click the following FOSCOS Online Homepage link.
  2. Now scroll down to see the option “Apply License/Registration Fee: Rs.100 to 7500 per year”. Please click on the yellow box to proceed.
  3. In the next page, please select the appropriate button “Apply for License/Registration [Railways]” or “Apply For License/Registration [Airport/Seaport]” or “Apply for License/ Registration” and proceed.
  4. In the following page, please select the state from the drop down menu to view appropriate details.
  5. Choose the “Kind of Business” by clicking on the relevant buttons. Click on the “+” button near the type of business which you chose. Then, three options will appear, which are “Turnover greater than 20 crores/ annum”, “Turnover upto 20 crores/annum” and “Turnover up to 12 lakhs per annum”. Choose one of them by clicking on the correct radio button. And Click on “Proceed” button to continue.
  6. If you chose “Turnover greater than 20 crores/ annum”, then you can apply for central license by clicking on the “Click here to apply for Central License for all businesses” button in the next page.
  7. If you chose “Turnover upto 20 crores/ annum”, then you can apply for state license by clicking on the “Click here to apply for State License for all businesses” button in the next page.
  8. If you chose “Turnover upto 12 lakhs/ annum”, then you can apply for registration by clicking on the “Click here to apply for Registration for all businesses” button in the next page.
  9. Now the applicant will be directed to the corresponding Application form page.
  10. Fill in the required details under the first tab “Premises detail” and click on the “Save & Next” button. Fill in all the necessary details under the different tabs such as “Product Selection” and “Communication Details”.
  11. Please upload all the required documents under “Required Document” tab by using the “Choose File” button and “Upload” button.
  12. Finally the applicant will be directed to the “Payments” tab.
  13. Please pay the required fee amount by selecting your convenient payment method.
  14. After Successfully Completing the payment, a receipt will be generated with a 17-digit reference number, keep it safe for future reference.
  15. You can track the application by clicking on the following - FOSCOS Online Homepage link . Then, click on the “Track Application” button. Enter the “Application Reference No.” and “Captcha code” in the respective fields and click on “Submit” button.
  16. This application will be processed by them and they will notify you through your e-mail or by SMS.


Apply through mobile App:

  1. The applicant willing to Apply for FSSAI License or Permit for Event Management must download the mobile app Food Safety Connect App.
  2. The applicant can download the app from play store using the following Link: link
  3. Once downloaded, the applicant must click the button “Apply for license” in the main page.
  4. Then the applicant has to select their respective state from the dropdown menu where premises is located for which License/Registration will be obtained.
  5. Next select the type of Business, Now Select the annual turnover of the business. After that Click on the “Proceed” tab.
  6. On the next page, click on the “Click here to apply Central License for all Businesses”.
  7. Next Form-B page will be displayed, fill all the required information under premises details section and Click on the “Save & Next” tab.
  8. On the Production selection page, fill all the details for DGFT Authentication and Click on the “Proceed with DGFT validation” to authenticate the details.
  9. Next Click on the “Save” to save the authenticated details. After Successfully Proceeding with DGFT validation, click on the “Save & Next”.
  10. Next fill all the Communication details and Click on the “Save & Next”.
  11. Under required documents section upload all the relevant documents and Click on the “Save & Next”.
  12. Next pay the fees and submit the application.
  13. After Successful Completing the payment, a receipt will be generated with a 17-digit reference number make a print of it and keep it safe for future reference.
  14. You can track the application through the home page.
  15. This application will be processed by them and they will notify you through your e-mail or by SMS.

  • Proof of Expected Annual Turnover(self-attested)

  • Declaration Form
  • Photo I.D and address proof issued by Government authority for proprietor/Partner/Director(s)/Authorised Signatory.
  • Analysis report (Chemical & Bacteriological) of water to be used as ingredient in food from a recognized/ public health laboratory to confirm the potable
  • Partnership Deed/Self Declaration for Proprietorship/Memorandum & Articles of Association towards the constitution of the firm
  • List of Directors/Partners/Proprietor/Executive Members of Society/Trust with full address and contact details with nomination of authorized signatory
  • Proof of possession of premises. (Sale deed/ Rent agreement/ Electricity bill, etc.)
  • Form IX: Nomination of Persons by a Company along with the Board Resolution
  • Additional documents(If any)
  • No Objection Certificate
