Procedure

• The “Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET)” is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha to determine the eligibility of candidates as teachers in government or private schools.
• There will be an official notification release by the respective board for OSSTET. On the issue of notification, the deserving candidates shall apply to register for the OSSTET.

Apply Online

1. The candidate shall use the following link to reach the respective portal to apply online Link
2. In the given home page, please scroll down to “Latest Updates” section and please look for “…Online Application Form For OSSTET…” thread and click on it to reach a new page. Here, please enter the login credentials as appropriate and click on the “Login” button to login.
3. If the user is not a registered user, then click on the “Click Here for New Registration” option provided under login section to reach the “Registration OSSTET …” page.
4. Please complete the page prompts as appropriate. Please enter a valid mobile number and email ID at the prompted space as appropriate and click on the “Submit” button to get a pop-up with a message “Password Created Successfully!...”. The login credentials would be sent to the registered Emai Id and mobile number.
5. Please click “OK” button to reach the “Login to your account” page. Here, please enter the login credentials as appropriate and click on the “Login” button to get “Verify Your Mobile No” page. An “OTP” would be sent to applicant’s mobile number.
6. Please enter the “OTP” at the prompted space and click on the “Verify” button to get a pop-up with a “Mobile No Successfully Verified” message. Please click on the “OK” button.
7. The user will reach the “Login to your account”. Please enter the login credentials as appropriate and click on the “Login” button to reach the “Applicant Payment Link” page. Please click on the “Click Here to Pay Application Fee” hyperlink to reach the online payment gateway page.
8. Please process the payment gateway page as per the online payment option as applicable to complete the payment to get a pop-up with a message “Inserted Successfully”. Please click on the “OK” button to reach the “PERSONAL INFORMATION” page.
9. The page will have the “Payment Reference Number” at the appropriate space. Please complete the page prompts as appropriate. Please upload the photo and digital signature at the prompts as applicable.
10. Once all the mandatory details are filled, please click on the “SUBMIT” button at the bottom to get a pop-up. Please click on the “OK” button to reach the “ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA” page.
11. Here, please select the applicable option from the dropdown list for the prompts as appropriate and click on the “SUBMIT” button at the bottom to get a pop-up. Please click on the “OK” button to reach the “EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS” page
12. Here, please complete the page prompts as appropriate and click on the “SUBMIT” button at the bottom to get a pop-up. Please click on the “OK” button to reach the preview page. Please go through the details provided and if all are correct, please click on the checkbox for the declaration and then click on the “YES - FINAL SUBMIT” button to get a pop-up with a message “Are you sure to continue?”. Please click “OK” button to submit the application online.
13. Also, the resulting page will provide the application for user to print and save for future reference.
14. This application will be processed by the respective department. Once the department approves the application, the applicant will get intimation and the admit card will be provided as per applicable norms.

Eligibility

• The candidate should be the citizen of India.
• The age limit for the candidates is 18 Years to 40 Years.
• For those who belong to SC, ST, and OBC, age relaxation in the upper age limit is 5 Years.
• Candidates should be class 12 passed or a graduate from a recognized university with a minimum of 45 per cent marks.
• Candidates should have obtained a Diploma in Education or Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) or completed any other prescribed teacher training programme/course.

Fees

• The fee of Rs. 500/- for each paper.

Validity

• The approved application is valid for the period (year) for which the examination is notified.
