Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. If the applicant wants to get a License as a Potato Producer, the applicant will need to approach Horticulture Nova Scotia. Here is the contact Link
2. The applicant will need to fill out an application form. Click on the following link to download the form Link
3. The applicant will need to pay a fee. Find further information under the “Fees” section of this page.
4. Submit the application form in person to the address mentioned under the “Office Locations and Contacts” section of this page. The applicant will become a member and this needs to be renewed every year.

Need for the Document

Each potato producer, whether of fresh market, processing or seed potatoes, must register with the Potato Marketing Board annually to legally grow more than two acres of potatoes in Nova Scotia.
