Motor Vehicle Registry (MVR) Customer Service Centre

MVR has Customer Service Centres throughout the Northern Territory.
For those living in a remote locality, or outstation you may go to your nearest Police Station.

Open licence (issue or renewal)

• 1 year: $ 29.00
• 2 years: $ 45.00
• 5 years: $ 91.00
• 10 years: $ 156.00

You must change over your driver licence and vehicle registration within three (3) months of taking up permanent residence in the Northern Territory.
