ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person:

  1. To validate or authenticateAcademic and Professional Qualificationsin person, the applicant has to visit the Federal Ministry of Education.
  2. The address and contact details can be found in the following Contact Link
  3. Visit the 8th floor of the Ministry and approach the relevant authority for evaluating or equating your Foreign Qualifications.
  4. Ask them for the prescribed format to apply for the Validation/authentication. Authorities over there will guide you accordingly.
  5. Do as instructed and complete the application format prescribed. Make sure that you have all the documents mentioned in the “Required documents” section of this page.
  6. Submit the documents and completed application format to the relevant authority at the office.
  7. Pay the amountof fees required for the application and Validation/authentication process, as instructed by the officials.
  8. After successful payment, the application and attached documents will be forwarded for various verification processes.
  9. Once the Validation/authentication has been done appropriately, the applicant will be informed through email or mobile to collect the Certificate of Validation/authentication.
  10. Meanwhile, he/she can also check with the office they applied, for the progress of application.

  • Any person in Nigeria, who has a qualification pursued in Nigeria that needs Authentication for admission purposes to study in other countries, can apply.
  • The person applying can be a Nigerian citizen or a foreigner residing in Nigeria.
  • The person applying must have a proper means of Identification.

Amount to be paid: 300.00 per page

ValidityEdit

The Authentication Certificate usually valid forever and does not need renewal.

  • Members of the public seeking to access the above services are advised to go directly to the 8th floor room 801, 802 and 803 of the Federal Ministry of Education office.
  • The applicants are advised to not PATRONIZE OR SEEK THE HELP OF TOUTS/AGENTS. Patronage of tout/Agents is an offence for which you can be arrested by the Anti-graft Agencies.
  • If you encounter any difficulties in application process, please call the Evaluation and Accreditation Division, Federal Ministry of Educationor get in touch with the SERVICOM Unit.
