Apply In-Person:
- To apply for renewing Airline Transport Pilot License in person, the applicant has to visit the office of Nigerian Civil Aviations Authority.

- Visit the NCAA office with an application letter made in writing and duly signed by a person authorised by the applicant to request for renewal of an Airline Transport Pilot License from the relevant department.
- Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- Attach the required documents with the application form.
- Then, proceed to submit the application package to the Director General at the office in person for further processes.
- Upon receipt of the application and the attached documents, the application will be subjected to an evaluation process in the Licensing Directorate by Licence Examiners/ASI.
- The applicant will be issued a payment slip for processing fees and will be directed to pay at a designated bank.
- The teller is presented to NCAA cash office where an official receipt of payment is obtained and submitted at the Licensing Directorate upon which the application is processed.
- When the document is ready, the applicant is notified of the collection of the signed Licence which will be released upon presentation of an identification or letter of authority from the company.
- If the application is not satisfactory, a Letter of Denial written to the applicant within 24hours informing the applicant reasons for such denial and advice the applicant on the outstanding documents to meet his or her request.
- Further processing will depend on when the applicant submits the outstanding documents.

EligibilityEdit
- Any Air Transport Pilot License holder in Nigeria, once in every 5 years, should apply to renew the license.
- The license holder must have complied with all the Implementation Standards as specified for the particular license category.
- He/she must have Personal logbooks or other records supporting flight experience shown on Application Form.
FeesEdit
Receipt of Payment of one million, five hundred thousand Naira
(N1, 500,000.00) being:
(i) N500,000.00 processing fees; and
(ii) N1,000,000.00 utilization fees at N200,000.00 per annum.
ValidityEdit
The validity period of the licence is 5 years.

- It is important that the completed form must contain all the information required properly and the form must be filled legibly, in order to get accepted by the Authority.
- Make sure that you attach all the required documents as specified by the authority to avoid rejections.
- The application must be submitted to the Director General, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) on or before a date not less than six (6) months to the expiration of the existing ATPL.
