Apply In-Person:
- To obtain a Trade License in person, the applicant has to visit the office of the Citizenship and Business Department in the Ministry of Interior.

- Visit the office and obtain an application form for obtaining a Trade License from the relevant department.
- Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- Complete the application form with required details and information in respective fields under respective sections.
- Attach all the required documents with the application form and submit them to the relevant authority at the office.
- Pay the required amount of fees as directed. Then, the officials will proceed to perform the internal processes with respect to the applicant’s request.
- Initially, your attached documents and application form will be checked for sufficiency and appropriateness.
- Then, the Board will verify whether the Dealership site adheres to the relevant requirements and regulations.
- If found sufficient, further necessary tasks will be accomplished by the concerned officials for the issuance of license.
- Once all the tasks and processes are over, applicant will be intimated to collect the license through any applicable means.

EligibilityEdit
- Any Joint Venture and Wholly Foreign Owned Company, that needs license to be operated legally in Nigeria, can apply.
- A representative can also complete the application process on behalf of the qualifying company.
- The eligible entity must possess an Incorporation Certificate and relevant valid license while applying.

Approval fee for Trade License is about ₦ 100,000.00.
