Nigeria - Apply for Student Visa

ProcedureEdit

1.You should start the application process by visiting the website of Nigeria Immigration Service (https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/pages/welcome);

2.On the page above, locate the heading visa, and under the heading, look for the like for the visa application form Entry Visa Application Form and click on it;

3.After the above, it will lead you to the online visa application form where you are supposed to fill all the required fields;

4.After filling form make sure that the box next to the phrase I Accept full responsibility for the information provided in this form on the same page is checked;

5.Thereafter print out the filled application form and then click on the button marked Submit Application. When the application is submitted, an acknowledgement of receipt of application is displayed, also print and keep the acknowledgement;

6.Then go ahead and make payment for the visa. To do this, go to the payment section and click on the button Proceed to Online Payment. The system thereafter takes you through the online payment steps and after completion of all a confirmation of payment is issued of which you must also print;

7.Where an interview is a necessity, on the scheduled date of visa interview, go to the Nigerian Diplomatic Mission in home country / country selected when filling online application with your passport, the printed application form, acknowledgement of receipt of application and payment receipt, plus all other required documents. If there is no need for a visa interview, post or hand deliver documents to the Nigerian Diplomatic Missions in home country; and

8.Thereafter wait for a visa to be processed;

5.Vaccination Certificate against Yellow Fever

6.Formal letter of application for student Visa

10.Acknowledgement of receipt of application;

InstructionsEdit

1.An applicant must have been admitted in a recognized education institution in the country;

2.Be ready to comply with rules and regulations of immigration department and the entire country as a whole

3.A student visa does not permit employment or work related activities;

4.Applicants must be aware that holding a visa is confirmation of entry into the country the immigration authority controls entry;

5.An applicant may be blocked from entering the country even when he / she has a valid visa if requirements are not met

6.Endeavor to submit all necessary documents because incomplete applications may lead to delay or no issuance of visa;

7.Do not submit false documents;

8.Children under the age of eighteen (18) years must get authorization from parents / guardians;

9.An applicant must ensure that he / she has a valid visa;

10.A valid visa must have validity of six (6) month beyond period of stay in the country and must also have a blank visa page;

11.Applicants must be aware that Nigerian visa application processes start with submission of application online;

12.Applicants must know that the that cash payments for visas are not accepted, all payments must be made online;

13.Applicants in countries where an applicant has to attend visa interviews are argues to always take note of the scheduled date for the interview during the process of filling online application form;

14.Endeavor to carry all necessary documents when going for an interview;

15.An interview date can be rescheduled upon submitting application by the applicant;

16.Applicants must ensure that they submit passport photographs that meet requirements;

17.An applicant must be of good character and of good health;

5.Particulars of the enrolling university / institution in Slovakia (Name, contact and physical address);

6.Particulars of course / programme of study;

7.Year of admission and duration of course;

8.Physical and contact address of host where applicant shall be staying while in the country

Need for the DocumentEdit

A Nigerian Student visa is issued to a foreigner to allow him / her study at an institution of higher education in Nigeria. Like any other visa, the Nigerian student visa is issued by the government through the Nigerian Immigration Service and Diplomatic Missions in foreign countries.
