- Do not forget to check the "I agree" box before you submit your application.

If you have a Visa or a MasterCard credit card holder you may pay for the fee by calling 1300 369 365.
Standard and gold fishing fee agents
Gold agents are the preferred sellers of the NSW recreational fishing fee receipt. Gold agents do not take commission on fee sales all money goes to the Recreational Fishing Trusts to be spent on improving recreational fishing.
Standard agents charge 5% commission on fee sales, the remainder goes to the recreational fishing trusts.
Majority of DPI Fisheries offices process payments for NSW recreational fishing fee.

EligibilityEdit
You are required to pay the NSW recreational fishing fee to fish in fresh and salt water in the state unless you are:
- under the age of 18
- an adult assisting a person under the age of 18 to take a fish using a single rod or to take prawns using a single dip or scoop net
- a person fishing in a private dam with a surface area of two hectares or less
- an Aboriginal person
- the holder of a:
- current Pensioner Concession Card issued by Centrelink
- current Pensioner Concession Card issued by the Department of Veterans' Affairs
- Commonwealth Department of Veterans' Affairs Gold Treatment Card endorsed "Totally and Permanently Incapacitated"(TPI)
- Commonwealth Department of Veterans' Affairs Gold Treatment Card endorsed "Extreme Disablement Adjustment" (EDA)
- letter from the Commonwealth Department of Veterans' Affairs stating that the person receive a disability pension of 70 per cent or higher, or an intermediate pension.
Note: Senior's Cards, Health Care Cards and Repatriation Health Cards will not exempt you from paying the fishing fee.

Need for the DocumentEdit
Before you can a fish in NSW waters (both freshwater and saltwater), you are required by law to pay the NSW Recreational Fishing Fee. This applies when:
- spear fishing
- hand lining
- hand gathering
- trapping
- bait collecting
- prawn netting
- in possession of fishing gear in, on or adjacent to waters.
