Death records are confidential in the State of Nevada and may only be released to a qualified applicant. A qualified applicant is defined as the registrant or a direct family member by blood or marriage, his or her guardian, or his or her legal representative.

- The Nevada Division of Vital Records (Nevada Vital Records) issues certified copies of Nevada death certificates, for events which occurred within the State of Nevada.
- Death Certificates are available for events that occurred within the State of Nevada from July 1, 1911 to present.
- You may order the certified copies by mail or online (VitalChek)
- $10.00 Search/Verification of a record (search/verifications do not include a certified copy. Choose this option if you are only wanting verification that the record is on file with Nevada Office of Vital Records)
