This procedure explains various ways to Apply for Extend Area Validity of Arms (Gun) License in Nagpur.

Apply In-Person

  1. A person desirous of applying for Areas Extension of a Firearm license should visit the Commissioner of Police's office or Magistrate's office in their district. Link for Contact: link.
  2. The required application form can be obtained from the Commissioner’s office.
  3. The applicant has to fill-in all the necessary details in the application form.
  4. Fill in your name, contact details, license details, and address.
  5. Complete the application form and submit it along with the required documents to the authority for approval.

  7. The state's licensing authority will approve the application if the application is eligible for extension.

Apply Online

  1. A person desirous of applying for Areas Extension of a should visit the Arms License website in India: link
  2. Click on the "Apply Online" button on the menu.
  3. Then, click on the "Apply Here" option.
  4. On the next page, select the Category, State, District, Name of the Licensing Authority, and the Service required.
  5. The website will be redirected to a new page.
  6. Enter the UIN (Unique Identification Number) provided along with your license.
  7. As a next step, fill in “License Specific Details” and then the “Endorsement Details.”
  8. Click on the "Save" button.
  9. An e-receipt will be issued with the Application Number.
  10. Go back to the homepage and click on the "Apply Online" button to upload the required documents.
  11. Click on the "Upload Documents" button.
  12. Enter your “Application Number,” “Date,” and the “Captcha,” and click on the "Submit" button.
  13. Upload all the documents required and click on the "Submit" button.
  14. Go back to the "Apply Online" step and upload the image by clicking on the "Upload Image" button.
  15. On the next page, enter your “Application Number,” “Date,” and the “Captcha” and click on the "Submit" button.
  16. Upload your image and click the “Submit” button.
  17. Go back to the "Apply Online" step once again to pay the required fee.
  18. Click on the "Make Payment" button and enter your “Application Number,” “Date,” and the “Captcha” and click on the "Submit" button.
  19. Select your mode of payment and follow the instruction on the screen.
  20. Once the payment is successful, the application will be submitted.
  21. The application status can be checked by clicking on the "Application Status" button on the menu bar.
  22. Enter your “Application Number,” “Date,” and the “Captcha,” and click on the "Submit" button.
  23. The rejection or acceptance of the application will be notified through mail or SMS.
  24. The extended license can be collected from the Commissioner of Police's office.

If a person holding a firearm license changes their residence, permanently or temporarily or for any period of more than six months, this procedure is mandatory.
