The Water Resource Department, the government of Nagpur provides online facility to user for applying for Command Area Certificate. User can read the instructions and fill the form. Online service is provided by the government to save time of the user. The portal is available in two languages, English and Marathi; user can select any of the preferred language. However, the application form can be printed and applied in person along with the necessary documents.

Apply Online through aaplesarkar :

  • The applicant needs to register on the website: Create User Id
  • The applicant can login using the credentials and fill the form as instructed.
  • The applicant can fill the online application form for “Command Area Certificate” in the citizen login section: Online Application
  • Submit the application.
  • After submitting the application, user will get a reference slip or number which should be kept for future reference.
  • Status of the application can be tracked by the user in “Track your Application” section. For tracking the application, application id or reference number will be required.

Apply in-Person:

  1. Applications can also be made in-person through the Water resource department, offices and sub-offices.

  3. Fill the application form as instructed.
  4. Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. After the authorities validate your application and the documents that are submitted they will issue the command area certificate.

Photocopy of documents should be attached while applying in person and scanned documents should be uploaded while applying online. Keep all the documents in scanned form like JPEG, GIF and PDF, so that it can be uploaded while making online application on the website. If submitting in person, xerox copies needs to be attached.

  • Gross command area (or GCA) is the total area which can be economically irrigated from irrigation system without considering the limitation on the quantity of available water.  It includes the area which is, otherwise, uncultivable.  For example, ponds and residential areas uncultivable area of gross command area.  It is, obviously, economical to use the irrigation system to irrigate across the two drainages.  Thus, the boundaries of the gross command of an irrigation canal system are fixed by the drainages on outer side of the irrigation canal system.
  • The area cultivated land in the gross command of an irrigation system is called curable command area (CCA) and includes all land of the gross command on which cultivation possible.  At any given time, however, all the cultivable land may not be actually under cultivation.  Therefore, sometimes the CCA is divided into two categories: cultivated CCA and cultivable but be cultivated CCA.
