Meghalaya - Online Apply Local Certificate
- Step 1 : First one has to make sure that all the required documents are in hand to apply online. If you would like to know about the documents that are required for this procedure, please visit the following link : Required Documents for Obtaining Local Certificate
- Step 2 : Please use the following link to apply online : Apply Online.
- Step 3 : In this page please click “Register” option to register into the portal and apply for the services. Refer the below image where it is highlighted in RED.
- Step 4 : Now click “Don’t have an account? Register HERE” option which is highlighted in RED in the below image.
- Step 5 : Now complete the registration form with valid details and click “Validate” tab which is highlighted in RED in the below image.
- Step 6 : Now enter the Email and SMS OTP in the appropriate textbox and click “Submit” tab which is highlighted in RED in the below image.
- Step 7 : Now go back to the home page and click “Home” tab which is highlighted in RED.
- Step 8 : In the login page enter your username and password in the textbox and click “Log In” tab which is highlighted in RED in the below image.
- Step 9 : Now click “View all available services” option under “Apply for services” section on the left side of the page. Refer the below image where it is highlighted in RED.
- Step 10 : Now type as “residence” in the search box which is pointed out by an RED arrow. Then click “Permanent Residence Certificate” option which is highlighted in RED in the below image.
- Step 11 : Select the DC office from where you wish to process the application. Refer the below image where it is highlighted in RED.
- Step 12 : Now complete the application form with valid details.

- Step 13 : Click the checkbox highlighted in RED and enter the verification text in the textbox. Then click “Submit” tab which is highlighted in RED in the below image.

- Step 14 : Complete the page prompts and hit the respective option to upload documents and get acknowledgement.
- Step 15 : Please keep the acknowledgement for future reference.
- Step 16 : This application will be processed by the respective department as per how it will be processed in person.
- Step 17 : Applicant will get notification about the status on his registered mobile number provided while applying.
- Step 18 : Then applicant will be notified to download the certificate after verification process.
