Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Export Pulp of Wood in person, the applicant should contact the Mauritius Agricultural Services. Contact link

7. If the application is approved, the applicant will be issued with an Export Permit which will be valid for a specified period and must be presented, along with all other required documents, to the relevant authorities at the port or airport of departure.
8. The applicant will be required to pay the applicable fees and they can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
9. The applicant will then be required to arrange for the shipment of the Pulp of Wood to their destination. The applicant should also ensure that all necessary documentation, including the Export Permit, is presented to the relevant authorities at the port or airport of departure.
10. Upon arrival at the destination, the applicant should ensure that the Plastics are inspected by the local authorities and the necessary documentation is presented to them.

Eligibility

• In Mauritius, any person who is 18 years of age or older and holds a valid export license from the Mauritius Revenue Authority is eligible to export wood pulp.

Fees

• Payment of import fee of Rs500 per animal and veterinary clearance fee of Rs500, as applicable at time of application.

Other charges are as follows:

• Rent of kennel/cattery - Rs15 per day per animal.
• The cost of food will be settled at the end of each month if they do not provide food for your dog/cat - Rs25 per day per animal.

Validity

• The permit is valid for six months from the date it is issued.
