Apply In Person:
- To File Notice of Appointment of Insolvency Practitioner in person, the applicant should contact the Corporate and business registration department in Mauritius Contact link
- Applicants should download the application form from this link
- Applicants should fill in the form with the necessary information, including the name and address of the insolvency practitioner, the date of the appointment, and the name of the company, to ensure that all the information required is provided to the appropriate authorities.
- The form should be accompanied by a copy of the notice of appointment of the insolvency practitioner, A copy of the official Gazette Notice of the appointment, A copy of the Statement of Affairs of the company, A copy of the Memorandum of Association of the company, A copy of the Articles of Association of the company and they can be found under the “Required Document” section of this page.
- On completion of the form, the applicant should submit the form along with required documents to the Corporate and Business Registration Department.
- In addition to submitting all the required documents for filing the Notice of Appointment of Insolvency Practitioner, applicants must also pay the applicable fees as requested by the authority to complete the procedure.
- The Applicant may be required to appear before the Authorities to provide further information and/or answer queries related to the application to ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and that all relevant regulations have been adhered to.
- The Corporate and Business Registration Department will review the application for File Notice of Appointment of Insolvency Practitioner to determine if the necessary requirements have been met for the appointment to be finalized.
- If the Corporate and Business Registration Department is satisfied with the application, the Corporate and Business Registration Department will issue an official notification of the appointment which should be made public by the insolvency practitioner in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.
- The Companies Registry should be notified of the appointment of the insolvency practitioner by the filing of a notice of appointment by the insolvency practitioner.
- The insolvency practitioner should also inform relevant stakeholders and creditors of the appointment.
- After the completion of all the formalities, the Corporate and Business Registration Department will issue a certificate of appointment for the insolvency practitioner.
- The processing time for a File Notice of Appointment of an Insolvency Practitioner takes about two weeks.

- A copy of the resolution of the Board of Directors/ Shareholders of the company appointing the Insolvency Practitioner;
- A copy of the Insolvency Practitioner's Declaration of Acceptance of Appointment;
- A copy of the Insolvency Practitioner's report on the company's affairs;
- A copy of the Insolvency Practitioner's plan of action for the company;
- Any other relevant documents, as required.
