Procedure

How to Apply

1. Visit the Ministry of Agriculture office and make your way to the Pesticide Control Board (PBC)
2. At the reception, make an appointment to see pesticide registrar. consult with registrar about the unregistered pesticide dossier
3. The register will review the dossier and direct you to obtain import permit of the pesticide sample as directed by the pesticide act
4. Pay the application fees as directed
5. Obtain the permit and submit to the registrar for verification, then you will be advised by the registrar to identify a scientist who will test the product adhering to the required procedure
6. Proceed and import the sample as stipulated in the pesticide act i.e.2 kg for dust and 1 litter for liquid for research using the form of unregistered pesticides
7. Have the sample be researched on and upon successful completion submit the results to the ATTC for approval of registration
8. Then the ATTC will recommend the registration to the PBC who will register the pesticide and then process the complete import permit
9. Go to the BPC office and obtain the permit once it is ready for collection
