Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Anyone interested in sale of tractor for agricultural purpose need to choose a department of agricultural registered or approved manufacturer. The applicant shall approach the respective district agriculture engineering office or the concerned office as per respective state norms to know the details.
2. Contact Link AND the farmers are also advised to visit the respective block development office – BDO Link2 please select the district as per the map to reach next page. In the given page please select menu option “DIRECTORY>PUBLIC CONVENIENCE>Municipality” OR “DIRECTORY>PUBLIC UTILITIES > Municipalities” OR “ABOUT THE DISTRICT” > “Who’s (Whose) who” to get contact details AND Panchayat please use the excel sheet hyperlink against your state/UT for a new page. Here, please process the page prompts as appropriate and click on the “Sign In” button to get the file downloaded.
3. The applicant shall call up the contact numbers provided in the pages as per the above link to know the appropriate office to get information in person or get it over the phone.
4. Once the list of manufacturers is obtained, the applicant shall finalize the manufacturer based on the track record and other factors.
5. The applicant shall contact the office using the contact number provided in the respective manufacturer portal to get the respective office to apply.
6. Please visit the respective office and get the details to apply for a dealer.
7. The applicant shall follow the manufacturer’s norms to apply for the dealer licence to sell the tractors for agricultural purposes.
8. Please write a requisition letter and attach the documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page and submit it to the respective authority of the manufactures.
9. The applicant shall fulfil the requirements as per the manufacturer's standard, including the financial requirements and the showroom parameters as appropriate.
10. Once the manufacturer is satisfied with the applicant’s profile, documents and other arrangements, the dealership will be provided.
11. The dealer shall open the showroom as per the schedule.
12. Once the dealer showroom is in operation, the dealer shall request (submit a requisition letter) the manufacturer to register the dealer in the respective agricultural department (through online or offline as appropriate).
13. The manufacturers are entitled to register a dealer with the respective department of agriculture as appropriate.
14. The dealership deposit and other charges differs from place to place. Please follow the manufacturer’s norms.
15. The time period for the grant of dealership may vary with respect to the need for a dealership in the particular area.

• Applicant’s address Proof (PAN Card /Driving Licence / Bank Passbook / Electricity Bill / Telephone Bill)
• Applicant’s proof of identity (Voter ID / Passport / Aadhaar card / Driving licence)
• Registration certificate of the firm as appropriate

Eligibility

• Any Indian citizen or a registered firm shall apply.
• Those who are 18 years and above are eligible to apply.
• The applicant with relevant experience will be given priority.

Fees

• The applicant shall make arrangements for the financial requirement including the investment, security deposit and running cost.

Validity

• The dealership will be valid for the agreement period.
• The dealership will be suspended in case of any misconduct from the dealer side.
