Maharashtra - Correct or Update (Modify) Aadhaar Card Information

Apply In-Person:
- To correct or update Aadhaar card information, the applicant has to locate enrolment centre Link
- The applicant has to book an appointment online. The online link and the guidelines for appointment are given in “Apply Online” section of this page.
- The applicant can download the Aadhar enrolment/ correction/ update form via this Link
- Applicant has to fill up the form with the requested details and attest it with the signature / thumb impression.
- Make sure that you have all the documents that are listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- Submit the application form and the necessary documents to the officer in charge.
- The officer in charge will process the details as per the document provided.
- The applicant will have to go through biometric scanning for finger print followed by Iris scanning and then Photograph session and signature.
- After the successful completion of above steps acknowledgement receipt for reference will be issued to the applicant.
- The applicant can also check the status of the application via the following Link with the help of 14-digit Enrolment ID (EID), Date and Time mentioned in the receipt.
- Enter the captcha for verification and click on “Check Status” option to know the status.
Apply Online
- Go to Link
- Select appropriate option, "Aadhaar No (UID)" OR "Enrolment No (EID)", under "You want to receive your lost:"
- Please enter prompted details (your full name, your email address, mobile number) and click on "Get OTP" button
- Please enter the OTP at appropriate place and Click on "Verify OTP"
- Now you will receive a message on your mobile with your AADHAAR card number or Enrollment Id as you selected in Step 2 above
- Now go to Link
- Select appropriate option, "Enrollment Id" OR "Aadhaar", under "I have:"
- Enter your AADHAAR card number or Enrollment Id oi virtual iD as appropriate. Then please correct or update the information as appropriate and hit the right tab as applicable.
- One Time Password (OTP) will be delivered to your mobile.
- Enter the OTP you just received on your mobile in the "Enter OTP" box and click on "Validate and Download" as applicable.
- Now you have downloaded your e-AADHAAR card. Enter your Pin Code as the password when you open the PDF document
Apply through Mobile APP:
- To obtain through the app, the applicant shall download the app from the play store via the given link Link
- Once downloaded, Select the preferred language and continue
- On the given page, login with your aadhar number/ enrolment number to proceed further
- A page will open up with a list of services being provided, select appropriate option for modification,
- The applicant can check the status by clicking on “Check Aadhar Status” and provide the details as prompted on the screen.
- Once its done, the modified card will be generated on the portal
- The applicant shall click on “Download Aadhar” tab to get the duplicate aadhar card.
- The applicant may also enter their pin code and collect the same from the nearest enrolment centre by showing the acknowledgement slip.
Apply Through Centres:
- To apply for Correct or Update (Modify) Aadhaar Card Information through centres, the applicant has to visit the respective “CSC” centre/sewa kendra. Please tap on the following link to locate the centre according to the respective district: link.
- Make sure to have the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- An application form can be obtained through the kiosk operator upon visiting the centre.
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary information in the application form.
- Submit the application form with “Required Documents” to the office. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
- The operator will process the application online.
- On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
- Pay the fee as given in the “Fees” section of this page and collect the receipt.
- An ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
- Upon the satisfaction of the authorities, the correction will be made according to the application.

- Documents that serve as proof of Address (Passport/ Bank Statement/ Ration card/ Voter ID/ Driving License/ Electricity bill)
