All diagnostic x-ray equipment user Institutes are required to use eLORA for obtaining operating Licence from AERB.

Apply Online:

  1. Prior to applying for Licence, the applicant must first “Register the Institute” and follow the steps mentioned under ‘‘Prerequisites’’.


Register the Institute

  1. The applicant must visit the official Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) website [www.aerb.gov.in Link]
  2. Click on the button “eLORA”, which is available on website home page.
  3. Click on “Register Institute” to open application form for Institute Registration.
  4. Fill the application form as per the guidelines provided here (Pages 4 and 5) AND Link
  5. Upload a soft copy of the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  6. Enter the Captcha and submit the application form.
  7. The applicant will get acknowledgement message upon successful submission of application form.
  8. The applicant will also receive an acknowledge mail with the copy of the application form (.pdf file) to their email id provided in the application form.


Prerequisites

  1. After acceptance of the application form, the applicant will receive USERNAME and PASSWORD of their eLORA account through email.
  2. Visit the eLORA home page and login to the system Link
  3. Please “Declare Employees”, “Obtain RSO Approval”, “Declare Instrument”, “Prepare Layout”, and carryout “Quality Assurance” by following the guidelines provided on Pages 6 to 13 of this PDF file Link
  4. Also, “Declare Your X-ray Equipments” and “Record Licence Detail” by following the guidelines on pages 13 and 14 of the above PDF file.


Fill Application Form for Licence

  1. The application form for license is available in menu. Click on “Licence for Operation of Existing Equipments” to open the form.
  2. The form will have the “Employee Detail” and “Safety Tools Detail” pre-filled based on the information provided during the “Prerequisites” step.
  3. Go to the “General Detail” tab.
  4. In the field “Application for”, select “Licence for Operation” for first time application.
  5. Then click on “Equipment Id”, it will show list of equipments already declared by the applicant. Select the Equipment which requires Licensing.
  6. Provide “Serial Number of Equipment” if available.
  7. In case of approved RSO (RSO approval received on paper), select “Yes” and provide required detail and upload scan copy of RSO approval letter. If not, then select “No” and select one of the employee in the field as “Name of the person designated as RSO for this equipment” (Note: This will not be applicable for CT and Interventional Radiology equipment).
  8. After selection of equipment, two more tabs will be displayed (viz. “Layout Detail” and “QA Test Report”)
  9. If installation layout of the equipment is as per AERB model layout, then select “Yes”. If not, select “No”.
  10. Provide the detail as per your room layout plan and upload a copy of room layout plan in case of CT and Interventional Radiology.
  11. Get radiation survey done from supplier of equipment or authorized agencies as per prescribed format and provide the details in the application form (as applicable).
  12. Refer QA test report of x-ray equipment and provide required test results. Attach the copy of QA test report in the prescribed format (applicable for CT and Interventional Radiology equipment).
  13. Read and select the “Terms and Conditions” and click on the “Submit” button.
  14. After successful submission the applicant will receive the acknowledgement in their inbox and registered email id.
  15. Repeat the same procedure for your other equipments.


Renewal of license

  1. Visit the eLORA home page and login to the system.
  2. The application form for license renewal is available in main menu.
  3. Please select “Renewal of Licence for Operation” for submission of form for renewal of existing Licence.
  4. Follow the steps mentioned under “Fill Application Form for Licence”

    • Appointment Letter,
    • Board Resolution,
    • Any Govt./PUC document substantiating proprietorship
    • Partnership deed (notarised) or
    • Proprietor’s self-declaration on institute letter head affixed with institute seal (only for Diagnostic Radiology Institutes)
  • PAN of Institute
  • TAN of Institute
  • Aadhaar Card of Employer
  • Proof of Registration with State/Central/Local Government Authority
  • Police Verification Certificate in case of Industrial Radiography facility: In case of Industrial Radiography Institute registration, please upload the copy of “Police Verification Certificate (PVC)” of the nominated employer. However, for State government institutes/Central Government institutes/ PSUs, PVC is not required.

InstructionsEdit

  • Licence form has to be submitted within 6 months from the date of acceptance of installation report. In case Licence form is not submitted within 6 month, the applicant has to submit a fresh QA report before applying for Licence.
  • The Licence accorded by the Competent Authority must be renewed before its expiry.

It is mandatory for all users/owners of medical diagnostic x-ray equipments to obtain Licence/Registration from AERB for Operation of the equipment as per Atomic Energy (Radiation Protection) Rules 2004.
