Maharashtra - Apply for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET)

- The “The Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (MAHA TET)” is conducted by the respective state government or the authorities concerned to determine the eligibility of candidates as teachers in government or private schools.
- There will be an official notification release by the respective board for MAHA TET. On the issue of notification, the deserving candidates shall apply to register for the MAHA TET.
Apply Online
- The candidate shall use the following link to reach the respective portal to apply online Link
- In the given home page, please click on the “New Registration” option under the “MahaTET-2021 Undertaking ( Examiner )” section provided in the left part of the screen to reach the instruction page.
- Please go through the instruction. Click on the declaration checkbox and then click on the “New registration” to get a “User information” section.
- Please complete the section prompts as appropriate. Please enter the valid email id and mobile number at the applicable prompts and click on the “Submit” button to get a confirmation pop-up. Please click “YES” button. The registration Id and the password will be sent to the registered email Id and mobile number.
- Now the applicant will reach a page to login.
- Please enter the registration ID and password at the prompted space as appropriate and click on the “Submit” button to reach the “Candidate Personal Details” page. Here, please enter/select the details for completing the personal details as appropriate.
- Please continue completing the prompts for “Candidate Caste Category & Other Detail”, ”Educational Qualification”, “Professional Qualification”, “Level of Application..” and “Exam Medium And Center Details” sections as appropriate.
- Under “Photo Identification” section, please upload the documents as appropriate. Please enter the captcha at the prompted space as appropriate in the given space. Please click on the checkbox for the declaration and then click on the “Save & Preview” button to get another page.
- In the given page, please click on the checkbox for the declaration and then click on the “Payment” button to reach the “Payment Details” page.
- Please go through the details provided. If all are correct, then click on the checkbox for the declaration and please click on the “Confirm and Pay” button at the bottom to reach the online payment page. Please process the online payment page as per applicant’s payment option.
- Once the payment is made successfully, the application will be submitted online and please save the system generated acknowledgement and follow the onscreen information to print the application form.
- This application will be processed by the respective department. Once the department approves the application, the applicant will get intimation and the admit card can be downloaded from the online portal.

EligibilityEdit
- The candidate should be the citizen of India.
- The age limit for the candidates is 18 Years to 40 Years.
- For those who belong to SC, ST, and OBC, age relaxation in the upper age limit is 5 Years.
- Candidates should be class 12 passed or a graduate from a recognized university with a minimum of 45 per cent marks.
- Candidates should have obtained a Diploma in Education or Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) or completed any other prescribed teacher training programme/course.
FeesEdit
- The fee will be Rs. 500 for one paper and Rs. 800 for both the papers.
ValidityEdit
- The approved application is valid for the period (year) for which the examination is notified.
