Procedure[edit]
Through Enrolment Centres :
- Applicant has to locate an enrolment centre to apply. Online link for enrolment centre : Centre link
- Book an Appointment for processing. Link for appointment: link for appointment
- With / without online appointment, go to the centre as located with required documents.
- Submit the required documents to the authority in the centre.
- Authority will process the details online and match the details to check the Aadhaar card for the applied one.
- Please follow their guidelines for processing your request.
- Applicant will be asked to get biometric scan for finger and eye iris scan will also be completed.
- Upon completion, Applicant will be issued an acknowledgement receipt for reference and the request will be processed for duplicate Aadhaar card.
Apply Online:
- Go to Link
- Select appropriate option, "Aadhaar No (UID)" OR "Enrolment No (EID)", under "You want to receive your lost:"
- Please enter prompted details (your full name, your email address, mobile number) and click on "Get OTP" button
- Please enter the OTP at appropriate place and Click on "Verify OTP"
- Now you will receive a message on your mobile with your AADHAAR card number or Enrollment Id as you selected in Step 2 above
- Now go to Link
- Select appropriate option, "Enrollment Id" OR "Aadhaar", under "I have:"
- Enter your AADHAAR card number or Enrollment Id oi virtual iD as appropriate. Then please complete the rest of the prompt as appropriate and hit the right tab as applicable.
- One Time Password (OTP) will be delivered to your mobile.
- Enter the OTP you just received on your mobile in the "Enter OTP" box and click on "Validate and Download" as applicable.
- Now you have downloaded your e-AADHAAR card. Enter your Pin Code as the password when you open the PDF document
- You now have your e-AADHAAR card, which you can print out
Apply through Mobile APP:
- To obtain through the app, the applicant shall download the app from the play store via the given link Link
- Once downloaded, Select the preferred language and continue
- On the given page, login with your aadhar number/ enrolment number to proceed further
- A page will open up with a list of services being provided, select “Order Aadhar Reprint”
- The applicant can check the reprint status by clicking on “Re-print Request Status” and provide the details as prompted on the screen.
- Once its reprinted, the duplicate card will be generated on the portal
- The applicant shall click on the “Download Aadhar” tab to get the duplicate aadhar card.
- The applicant may also enter their pin code and collect the same from the nearest enrolment centre by showing the reprint.
Apply In-Person:
- The applicant must visit the nearest aadhar enrolment centre.
- Get an aadhar correction form from the centre and fill in the form with precise details.
- Submit the form and make a request with the aadhar executive, providing the aadhar number for issuing a duplicate card.
- The authority will verify the identity using biometrics
- Once verified, the request will be processed.
- Upon completion, the applicant shall receive a new aadhar card at the residence.

Need for the Document[edit]
- Aadhaar card is an initiative by the government to organize citizen.
- Unique Identification Authority of India, issues this card. It is a 12 digit identity contains combination of numbers and alphabets.
- Aadhaar card is mandatory in opening bank account.
- Aadhaar card is useful in most of the application for obtaining voter id, ration card, pan card, Land registration, Driving license, Vehicle registration and more.
- If in case your Aadhaar card is lost / damaged / misplaced, one has to apply for duplicate Aadhaar card
