Procedure

While renting out a property in Madhya Pradesh, one has to register the Tenant’s details with the Police for Tenant Verification.
Apply In-Person:

1. To register the Tenant’s details with the police, get the Tenant Verification form from the nearest Police Station.
2. Residents of Indore could download the Tenant verification form online from the link: Tenant Form
3. In the procured form, fill the required details of the Landlord and the Tenant.
4. Attach a copy of the required Documents such as Id Proofs.
5. Affix the Passport size photograph in the form.
6. Duly sign the form and submit the form at the nearest Police Station.
7. You could find your district Police Stations by clicking on your relevant district in the link: MP Police Stations
8. The Police would ask the Tenant or Property Owner to visit the Police Station if any verification is necessary.
9. The Police would keep a record of the Tenant’s information and would inform the landlord if the Tenant is a criminal or a troublemaker.

Apply Online - Tenant Verification Online with Images

1. To register the Tenant’s details online, one has to login to the Madhya Pradesh Citizen services Login
2. If you are a new user, create a new user account with your details by selecting “Create Login”.
3. Now login with your account and select Tenant Verification from the given services.
4. In the given new window, fill the Landlord’s details.
5. Fill the required Tenant and Tenant’s Family member’s details.
6. Upload the photo and required documents of the Tenant in the required size and file format.
7. Check the details filled for any correction before you submit the form. Submitted forms cannot be altered.

• Make sure you provide valid details.
• Legal action could be taken in case any discrepancy was found in the details provided.
• Please fill all the mandatory fields before submitting your application.

• Occupation and Office Details

Details of the Tenant:

• Name
• Father’s Name
• Date of Birth
• Occupation & Office Address
• Telephone Number, Mobile Number and E-Mail Id
• Family Member’s Details
• Present Address
• Previous Address and date of leaving
• Permanent address and Telephoen Number
• Details of either any one of the following Passport, Driving License, Arms License, Ration Card, Voter Card, and Income Tax (Pan No.).

Need for the Document

• A Property Owner could be penalized for renting out a property to a Tenant without registering the Tenant’s information with the Police.
• Under any circumstances, it is advisable to collect details of your Tenant and Register your Tenant with the Police before you rent out your property.
• Terrorists and Criminals usually try to rent a place with forged documents. Thus, registering your Tenant with the Police would help you avoid any issues in the future.
