Procedure

While hiring a person for Domestic help in Madhya Pradesh, one has to register the Servant’s details with the Police for Domestic help Verification.
Apply In-Person

1. To register the Servant’s details with the police, get the Domestic help Verification form from the nearest Police Station.
2. You could find your district Police Stations by clicking on your relevant district in the link: MP Police Stations
3. Residents of Indore could download the Servant Information form online from the link: Forms
4. In the procured form, fill the required details of the employee (Servant).
5. Provide the complete description of the employee in the section provided for the same.
6. Mention the employee’s friend’s or relative’s information.
7. Provide the employee’s voluntary fingerprints if necessary.
8. Provide the required information about the employer.
9. Affix the passport size photograph of the employee in the space given.
10. Attach Photocopy of Photo ID proofs of the employee.
11. Duly sign the form and submit the form at the nearest Police Station.
12. The Police would run a background verification and would inform the employer if the person hired is of dubious character.
    

Note: Carry the original Id proofs to the police station for any necessary cross verifications to be made.

Apply Online - Apply to get Servant (Domestic Help) Verification Online with Images

1. To register the Servant’s details online, one has to login to the Madhya Pradesh Citizen services Login
2. If you are a new user, create a new user account with your details by selecting “Create Login”.
3. Now login with your account and select the Domestic/Unorganized option from the Civil Services.
4. In the given new window, fill the Servant’s details.
5. Fill in the required employer or householder’s details.
6. Upload the photo and required documents of the Servant in the required size and file format.
7. Check the details filled for any correction before you submit the form. Submitted forms cannot be altered.
8. Your application will now be processed and the police will make verifications to create a Report.
9. The details of your application will be sent to your registered mobile number or E-Mail Id.

Need for the Document

• While employing a person for domestic help, it is highly advisable to apply for a Police verification report of the said person to ensure your safety.
• When one applies for this Verification, the police runs a complete background check on the person to be employed and their details are stored with the police.
• This protects the employee from involving in any criminal activities in the near future.
• The police verification report also gives information about any troublesome activities of the servant in their previous workplace.

Information which might help

• Servants have access to the employer’s most important details, and one could easily become a victim of servant crime if they do not conduct police verification before hiring them.
• Usually, in the event of a servant crime, the police would be left with zero information about the servant's details. However, a servant verification process would help the police to track such crimes.
• It is highly necessary to do background verification of the servant even if he/she was referred by a friend or an acquaintance.
